slightly differently. In other words an adjustment period occurs.

These drugs are not identical, and the body tends to "get used to things" and readjust etc. It does this with many other types of drugs too.

Oh boy.. As some might have read in another thread, I have to wait 2 months for my Lyrica. I called my Doc. last week and asked her to think about letting me take the Gabapentin. They finally called today and she said yes to it.

Now after reading this, is it even a good idea? Should I just wait it out, or deal with the 'big switch' when the time comes?

My pain level every day is a 9-10, along with that lovely swelling and burning feeling in my feet/legs.
My pain isn't only lower body though, it stems from my neck all the way down to my toes.
As of right now, I have another month to go till I get my Lyrica.
Someone at the pharmacy messed up and told me a month, when it's actually 2 months.

My situation.....I prepay the pharmacy for 3 months worth, and the drug company is giving it to me. I have no insurance and this is how they deal with people on low income/no insurance if you're approved.
I guess i am also going to have to talk to someone from the pharma. co. as well when they call me.
This is all so new to me. =/
