What a sweetie Abbey is! However, I do agree about the look in her eye. This is a very intelligent girl with high energy. When she learns her boundaries and her 'people', she will be a terrific citizen!!

In time, she may actually be able to alert you to a seizure before it starts. Many young dogs learn to sense this in their owners. Studies have been done - - and they have proven it happens...they just don't know how the dog knows before the owner.

Good luck with her - - and kudos to you for taking a rescue dog.

Ah she's adorable. Thanks for sharing. I had a friend's dog get into everything at 1st. She's much better now. Glad you have her.

I miss my schnauzer! She was 16 when we lost her a few years ago. We havent had the heart to go puppy shopping again. She was an awesome doggie, and what a great breed. Very intellegent and wants badly to please you. Mine was a breeze to train.

Give her a cuddle for me. I miss my own.

Thanks for welcoming my sweet schnauzer girl Abbey. Today is exactly 4 weeks that she's been a member of our family. Our issue this morning is shoes; she loves my slippers(wants to suck on them) and a pair of "yard" tennis shoes I wear to go out with her in bad weather.

I'm finding her to be very sensitive to me; she seems to be picking up on the nuances of my seizures. I think in time she'll be good at it.

Every moment with her is a "teachable" moment, and yes, she is very smart.
