OT Watching LOST again and enjoying

Hi, All,
Wednesday's LOST was fabulous.

I like the episodes that focus on Hurley.
This one was uplifting because it seems that he was able to change his luck.
Twice the show played the song "Shambala."

That Three Dog Night song has been in my head for two nights now. So I finally downloaded it from iTunes. Now I can play it on repeat:

Quote:

Everyone is helpful, everyone is kind
On the road to Shambala
Everyone is lucky, everyone is so kind
On the road to Shambala

Still LOST

Hi,
Anyone else into LOST? ? ?

Tonight I watched the season finale from last year.

The new season of Lost starts again tomorrow. They have 8 episodes (no reruns!) so it will be tempting. http://www.thesmilies.com/smilies/ex...tarry-eyed.gif

I have a love/hate relationship with the show.
I wish I could let it go. It is too intense, too much violence and weird stuff, and it is frustrating because it is hard to figure out what is happening.

Or maybe I'm getting bored after three seasons http://www.thesmilies.com/smilies/expressive/yawn.gif -- not sure.

Anyone watching LOST again

:bump:

Hi,
I've got the tv on and watching LOST.

-First is a kind of recap show for one hour.
-Then the season premiere for the next hour.
-Then another hour show!

It's an extravaganza! :)

Who are your favorite characters??

Hi,

Here are two good links:
Lost Forum
http://www.lost-forum.com/

I read the Spoiler section
and the Episode Discussion a little each week to know what to look for on Wednesday and to see what other fans are saying / picking up.

I love Desmond the best and my fav all time episode was in Season 4 when he was lost in time and had to call Penny on Christmas. That episode should have won some awards. :) :) :)

I'm also liking Daniel Faraday because he seems to have the answers about the time travel.

Sawyer is fun. So are Hurley and Sayid.

I can't stand Jack. He's annoying.

Also here is everything in the world about LOST:
Lostpedia
http://lostpedia.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page

Be careful. When I want to relax and tune out the world, I check these two websites and read for a while.
A person could get lost following all the threads of plot and meaning in the show.

I love all of the characters, well maybe love ben is not the right word...but think the actors are so believable.
I jsut favorited the lost forums so will look at that later.
thanks for the link

bizi 05-13-2009 10:10 PM

Well that was an exciting finale!!!!!!
wow
now what will I do on wednesdays?????
Are you still watching Mari?
beth

Mari 05-13-2009 10:56 PM

I saw it

Hi, Beth,
I watched the whole two hours.

-The extra Locke surprised me.
-And the last scene with Sawyer and Juliet was heartbreaking. I loved the "new" Sawyer this season.

I was hoping that the finale would stink so that I could stop watching the show. I was getting annoyed with it and it was irritating. But tonight they revealed some of the mysteries and that was satisfying.

Did you like the show tonight?
M.

bizi 05-13-2009 11:14 PM

yes finding the extra locke was really a shock!
I really do love this show.
Look how much info we got about jacob tonight...how he touched each one of their lives...so much info in a short amount of time.
I will anciously await next years final season.....
It was so heartbreaking watching sawyer and juliet....
I was jsut asking my hubby about rose and bernard....
and there they show up...I was wondering if we were going to see claire...jsut not enough time....I think she will reappear. next year

I remember that song. It's very soothing. I bought that album back when they made them on records, and albums, just before 8 track tapes.

I keep coming back to the Sci-Fi Channel also. I love Science Fiction,Stargate SG-1,and Stargate Atlantis. They have both been canceled. I even watched Battlestar Galactica, and a bunch of those space series. BF:hug::hug::hug:

Beth,
You are correct. He was not.
Since he can handle electromagnetism, he is going to pull both threads together:

-Island time
and
-the alternate time line.

And things are going to happen quickly now with the time lines as we head to the finale on May 23.

My prediction is that he and Penny will be hugely important in the finale because the arc of the story line is for them to be together. (I hope that I am right!)

Island Desmond is in 2007.
Alternate time line Desmond is in 2004.

He is going through the manifest from the plane and tracking down people from the plane. I think he wants Locke to get connected to the other time line like he helped Hurley via Libby.

Mari, our local holly wood video store is closing so we went in and bought some of the lost tapes....the last episodes of all 5 seasons that include extra features and the veryfirst one the plane wreck pilot...which we watched last night...love seeing them again with out commercials!

Dear Bizi,

Hi.
Tonight's episode is called "The Candidate."

My DVR is not recording right so I will make sure I am home and paying attention so I can watch it.

I think we have about 4 hours left of Lost. Is that right?
Maybe when it is over I will watch it from beginning to end as you are doing.

M.

bizi 05-04-2010 10:26 PM

how sad!!!!!

are we going to watch our beloved characters get killed off.... :(
maybe the sideways story live will be the reality????

Yes.
I turned the volume off and tried not to watch the scene.

Still alive:
Hurley, Sawyer, Jack, Kate, Desmond, Claire
Likely still alive: Richard, Ben, Miles
Frank Lapidus?

Oh and Rose and Bernard were living along together on the
island the last we saw them on the season 5 finale.

Sayid said more or less, "Desmond's in a well on the main island. Locke wanted him dead so he must be important. It's going to be you, Jack."
So my theory is still that Desmond will be important for the end of the show.

Season finale of Lost:
Sunday, May 23
9:00 - 11:30 pm

How many episodes left?
I'm confused.

bizi 05-05-2010 09:44 AM

not sure?
I thought 2 more than finale.
bizi

Mari 05-12-2010 03:20 AM

What did you think of the show?

I think that we have
1. one hour episode next week Tuesday, May 18.
2. two hour repeat of the pilot Saturday, May 22, from 8-10 p.m.
3. two and a half hour FINAL episode Sunday, May 23 9:00-11:30.

I hope that I got this right.

I don't know what to think of tonight's show. We did not get any really good answers but the story of the mother and the two sons was good.

And I can't wait for this to be over.

M.

bizi 05-12-2010 10:30 AM

we just watched the pilot about 2 weeks ago it was so good.
I thought the final episode was only 2 hours long and i thought it started earlier but have not checked the site.
I liked the episode last night, thought it was a bit slow and wanted to see more of our favorite actors, can't believe that adam and eve were the man in black don't ever know his name and his mother. Where did she come from????? Did jacob give wine to jack so that makes him the candidate?, more questions! How are they going to answer all of our questions in 3 hours?
I still very much like this show....just hope they tie every thing up....
bizi

Mari 05-20-2010 05:25 PM

Remember: finale is Sunday frm 9:00 to 11:30 pm east coast time. Check your time.

Hi, Beth,

I like the last episode because things are coming together in both story lines:

People that Desmond is gathering for this concert:
-David -- Jack's son
-David's mom / Jack's exwife -- we don't know for sure who she is but we can guess
-Claire

-Kate
-Hurley
-Desmond
-Sayid

-Miles (the concert is at his father's museum)
-Dr. Candle (Miles's father)
-Charlotte (works at the museum)
-Sawyer (works with Miles)

Guesses:
~Penney
~Daniel Windmore (musician in this alternate time line)
~Charlie? (musician -- Daniel likes a mix of types of music)
~Windmore
~Eloise

=-=-=-=-
I'm hoping to see Bernard and Rose again before the series ends. Maybe we see them on the island.
=-=-=-=-

I think from 7:00 to 9:00 pm East Coast time abc will do a re-cap show.
Also Jimmy Kimmel Live has a special after Lost.

Lots of the actors from the show will be on Jimmy Kimmel Live:
http://www.seattlepi.com/tvguide/419675_tvgif7.html
Quote:

Jimmy Kimmel has secured the guest list for his special edition of Jimmy Kimmel Live following Lost's series finale, according to Variety.

Present and past cast members Naveen Andrews, Nestor Carbonell, Alan Dale, Jeremy Davies, Emilie de Ravin, Michael Emerson, Matthew Fox, Daniel Dae Kim, Terry O'Quinn and Harold Perrineau are all confirmed to appear live on the show. Also appearing, though not in the studio, are Jorge Garcia, Josh Holloway and Evangeline Lilly.

Notably absent from the list so far are original cast member and series regular Yunjin Kim and Henry Ian Cusick, a recurring guest star since Season 2.
This adds up to about FIVE and a half hours of Lost. Wow.

M.

bizi 05-20-2010 10:46 PM

sunday 6pm for us....
I did not know of the recap show????
where did you see this?
oh this is exciting!

Mari 05-20-2010 11:30 PM

Go to TV guide and scroll to Sunday.

Lost starts after ABC World News Sunday.
http://www.tvguide.com/Home.aspx

Here is a page from the abc site:
Quote:

LOST: The Final Journey, from 7:00-9:00 p.m., ET, which takes a look back over the past six seasons of this groundbreaking show that precedes the highly anticipated series finale from 9:00-11:30 p.m. E.T.
Maybe it is not exactly a re-cap show. Maybe it is a documentary. I don't know but it starts right after the 6:30 news and goes for hours.

On May 23, ABC is airing a two-hour retrospective and then the 150-minute finale. FOR THE RECORD: This post previously gave the wrong date for the "Lost" finale. The correct date is May 23. T

Mari 05-24-2010 01:13 AM

Beth,
They were already in the afterlife in the alternative story line.

I think I need to replay the part where Jack and Christian talk.
Jack has figured it all out at that point.

M.

Mari 05-24-2010 01:58 AM

What was your favorite scene?

Quote:

did every one die????
Beth,

We had two stories to wrap up:
1. plot -- the one that Christian Shephard explains
2. emotions

Plot:
The alternate time line was sort of purgatory /waiting room-- they were already dead and waiting for each other so that they could move on.
When they met in the church they were ready to be together again.
The island time line was real.
I think that the writers did not completely resolve this plot.

Emotions:
The emotional story played out completely. In the alternative side line, many people had worked out what they needed.
We were happy to see them happy and untroubled: Sayid and Charlotte, Sawyer and Juliet, Jack and his father, . . .
The emotional story wrapped up well. We did feel that the show reached an ending.

My favorite scene: I liked the Sawyer and Juliet scene. The writers teased us with that a bit before Sawyer and Juliet "remembered."

Did you have a favorite scene?
