Reality show addicts part 3!!!!!!!
Well here we are with part 3! We have a lot of reality show enthusiats here and I sure glad since my DH hates them. Of course he channel surf and watches Family guy.
I am sitting here watching SYTYCD, first night of actual competition. i think we all like to watch it because they do movements we could never imagine our poor bodies doing. It's going to be a wonderful season. I just can't believe so many of these wonderful composed dancers are teenagers! |

Has anyone watched the Voice? I haven't but just wondered any ones opinion on it. I read where J Lo is undecided whether or not to be a judge on American Idol next year although she enjoyed it
|
Well it appears Mr. Nigel Lythgoe has used one of his tricks from American Idol on SYTYCD
|
The Voice
E! runs reruns of The Voice on weekends. I have seen it and so far I think it's pretty good. Frenchie Davis, an Idol cast off is on there. It has some head to head competition among the contestants. I can't wait to see how it progresses. I must admit that I am a reality show junkie. I can't seem to get into Survivor, BB, or Amazing Race.
|
OOOh, Big Brother. Is that going to be on this summer??? That's always fun..:D
I didn't stay with The Voice, so?? |
I love The Voice and although the process where they blindly picked the contestants was the best, imo, it is still worth watching. The thing I like better than American Idol is they seem more polished. It sems as if quite a few of them have performed in the industry already. If you get to see the group performances especially the one Christina A's group did they are excellent.
|
I guess one of the real reality shows I like the most is to watch pro golf! I can't say my DH have the most wonderful marriage, in fact it about all I can say is that it is a marriage but we both love our golf. We have a local guy and love to watch it. So whenever we can watch PGA and Jeff Overton is playing you know we will have it on. We were so glad he made the weekend cut for the US Open. Go Jeff!!!!!

Atlanta auditions for AGT were on tonight. They had some really wacky things but there was one 11 year old girl that had a super voice. I hope she goes far. As far as the guy that swallowed the knife, he can stay in Atlanta but they sent him on to Vegas!
|
Anyone else watching Master Chef? I am enjoying it.:)
|
Anyone watch ABCs new show Expidition Impossible? It's a Mark Brunett production who i believe is the producer of Survivor. It is set in Morroco. first episode they were in the Sahara desert, had to do some challenges, if they got it wrong they continued in the game but then got to a point where it said 'wrong way' so it took them way out of the way in 105 degree heat. There are 13 teams of 3. One of the teams has a blind guy but he has climbed Mount Everest so he is an accomplished traveler and adventurer. the winner wins $150,000 and a Ford Explorer. But the team has 3 people so I would guess that means that each individual winds $50,000 and 1/3 of an Explorer. the girls from the Bronx who couldn't get along well were eliminated first

I didn't like the team that went home, which is rare for a team I want to go home to actually go home. They are replaying it tonight at 7/8 on ABC if you missed it and want to catch it. (sorry for the late notice). |

Anyone catch "101 ways to leave a game show"? I watched it on DVR tonight and it's quite good. Wish I could leave a game show in any of those ways...
They advertised it as the #1 new summer show. Funny enough Expedition Impossible is also being advertised as the #1 new summer show. Maybe they're in a tie... |
I watched MI and thought it was really good. Since I am having such visual troubles with the ON, I am rooting for the blind guys team, but I do like some of the other ones. DH saw the blind guy guide had bells and allowed him to walk away from where he was at. So...guess what? DH went and got bells. Too funny! the farmers are gonna think their cow got loose! hahaha.
I did peek at 101 ways to leave a game show and saw the girl leave on a biplane, screaming HELP ME! im gonna puke! I felt horrible for her. I changed the channel. I dont watch much TV anymore since I cant see it unless its on a HUGE screen and I can stand up next to it, so I will peek at the MI and maybe tape it. That way I can stop and start and go back to catch what I missed. |
I am watching Master Chef!:)
|
I'm not sure if we have ever talked much about the shows on HGTV. I really like Monday nights on HGTV. The convert your backyard into a Disney park, take your family on a swanky vacation of your dream at HGTVs expense, really deck out your home or yard and then of course House Hunters. And with then I can travel the world. I can see some of the countries that some of you live in. Tonight on HGTV'd, a family wanted their old garage fixed so the Mom could have cooking classes for children. So they really fixed that back yard. It was marvelous.

A new Design Star, starts soon on HGTV and
A new Project Runway on Lifetime and Big Brother 13 starts on July 7th. |
Voice final performances
Ok, so I just watched the recording of The Voice last night.
Yeah, they were all good BUT!!! The final performance of the night, Vicci and Cee Lo doing "Love is a Battlefield" was EPIC!!!!! Broadway worthy. His outfit and red mohawk rocked. Her outfit was TOTALLY AWESOME!. the best part of it was the kid's, they are some of the best dancers/martial artists I've ever seen. WOWWWWW!!!!! If you missed it, here it is. It reminds me of Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome or one of those other 80's rock classics. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5--u0bzBUbo |
I'm happy with the Voice winner! :) Off to Itunes!
|
I can't believe what I just did. I always schedule my DVR for my shows whether I watch it live or not because I might get caught up in a phone call or whatever and I want to go back and rewatch it. So right after I watched SYTYCD I switched on my DVR controls to delete it. But I erased AGT!!!!!!!!! I think they have complete episodes on line.
Anyway SYTYCD was awesome as usual. The only dance I didn't like was the one with the zombies. Right now I am watching Love in the wild. If it gets to touchy feely I won't continue |
Yes, SYTYCD was awesome tonight.:)
|
I Missed it!

I hope you all watched SYTYCD tonight. One of the guest dances was from a handicap dance company. It was like ballet, she was walking, he was in his wh/ch. His strength was incredible, it was just an incredible dance. The second guest artist was this pair that the way they dance one of them could easily be in that wh/ch tomorrow. They were world champions and it also was incredible. I'm sure a lot of figure skating pair and ice dance couples would love to train with them.
|
I was surprised at the girl who went home tonight, Mochagirl.:(
I also enjoyed the great guest dancers tonight, Doydie.:) |
I think she was quite surprised also since they had such praise of her last night. Nigle did say the vote was not unnanimous
|
Big brother cast is revealed!!!
After checking daily for the announcement of the new cast members, it is now on CBS.com/bigbrother. Looks like every year, beefcakes and boobs but also a bit interesting.... let me know what you think once you review them.
|
I watched Expedition Impossible again. I don't see how that blind guy can do what he does. I know he would put me to shame. He has ridden a camel, managed his own kayak in some rapids, ridden an Arabian stallion, the list goes on. I think his team came in 3rd tonight. I also must commend his brother for taking the time, effort, energy and trusting him to help him to lead a very active life. Their love and trust is incredible. The overweight cops and NFL players can't do kayaking!
I'm not to sure about last nights show, Love in the wild or something like that. Maybe I'm just to much of a prude or Southern Baptist or whatever but I just can't see you picking an opposite sex partner for the competition and then that same night you are sharing a cabin with him/her and then you take the opportunity to switch partners for the next challenge adventure. |
Surprise

I was sad to see the couple eliminated from SYTYCD. She did the salsa I believe. I have no idea what the salsa is or what the requirements are but I should she was beautiful. I didn't like Carmen Electra as a guest judge. I don't she really had anything to say. It was good seeing Travis Wall as a judge. He has gone full circle, contestant to judge. He was a little nervous.
I watched Expedition Impossible. It was quite impossible! Having to navigate a sandstorm in Morroco then ride those silly camels again isn't my idea of fun. It showed the losing team go right from walking through the river going directly to the helicopter. I hope that was how it was edited. That poor team needed to get some rest. I'm anxious to see how they divide the acts on AGT. Since they only have a couple of acts go through from each show it really makes a difference who goes on. I can't believe they had that guy who just danced around and almost lost his pants go through. |
Anyone else start watching Big Brother? Big mouth D.i.c.k is back..He threw the HOH contest, after making a deal.. I have no expectations, just watching for fun.:)

News flash for BB
As of Saturday Evil **** has been ejected from the house perm. They will explain wheat happened on Wednesdays show.. Hm...
|
Selling New York on HGTV had an episode this week in which they rented the house that will be used on Design Stars or whatever it's called. They had to do it because of how expensive the asking price was. They will have to show the outside frequently with the name on the building and other things
|
Anyone watching mission impossible or mission expedition or whatever? whats with all the pyscho camels? do they treat them so badly that they turn nuts? I am cheering for the blind guy.

its about teams that race across the sahara desert and meet challenges along the way. so far its been ok. Same thing as the amazing race.
|
I'm watching it. I wish they had a more enthusiastic host. I think it's more grueling then the Amazing race.

American Idols perform in SLC
So, my girlfriend and I got tickets to see the Top 11 perform last Wed. night in Salt Lake City.
It was the first stop on their tour. It was a lot of fun, but so LOUD! The kids are talented, but I was concerned that Lauren Alaina's voice is still not back to normal. She apologized for it and did her best, but I wonder if she'll be able to overcome it if she keeps having to sing. The guys were able to get the audience on their feet moreso than the gals. Scotty was last to appear and sang 3 songs, including that one he couldn't stop singing when he was trying to join a group: Baby lock them doors and turn the lights down low .... Pia sang her new single, but it was so loud I couldn't even follow the melody! James Durbin sang Judas Priest songs. Paul McDonald sang Rod Stewart songs. Haley sang "House of the Rising Sun." Casey still hasn't cut his hair! He looks like a beast! But he played his stand up bass and sang about 3 songs. There were a number of group performances. All in all it was a good time. I had to buy dinner for my friend b/c she predicted her guy Scotty would win! :) |
Sounds like so much fun! I think they had a tour spot here in Evansville 2 years ago but my DH would have shot me if I had 'wasted' my money on a ticket. He wouldn't have seen it as a concert, it would have been a continuation of a reality show which he hates
|
Design Star started last night. It was interesting to see how the had the large apartment that was sold last week in Selling New York as the home. They had the usual first challenge of decorating the rooms. One guy had the bedroom a horrendous orange and them his teammate put up a huge cut out of the word RELAX!!!! A lady went home. I can't remember what she did wrong!
The first actual show in the competition of AGT was tonight. I don't know how in the world they let the guy go through to Hollywood that made the short little one liner songs and then one liner comedy. He was as bad tonight as he was in auditions. |
