Sally I think everyone has given up on this thread.

SallyC 09-11-2011 09:13 PM

Well we'll keep it going, I guess..:)

doydie 09-11-2011 11:29 PM

Hope your finale is what you want. Then you'll have to choose a new show!

SallyC 09-12-2011 12:38 PM

Thanks, it really doesn't matter who wins BB, at this point..it's just entertaining to watch. I'll probably just watch a bit of the finali.:p

I'm still watching HK too..It's on tonight..

SallyC 09-14-2011 10:07 PM

Rachael the biotch won Big Brother...But she deserved it..:D

Survivor started tonight with two of the oldsters rejoining the newbys.. They're doing redemption island again. I will hold my opinion until I learn who I like.:)

Next to come to a close for me, will be HellsKitchen.

How did your finalis go?:grouphug:

doydie 09-14-2011 11:29 PM

Well my favorite for AGT won but I am a sucker for the age of the crooners! I was surprised that I-lluminate came in 3rd. I kind of figured PopLyfe would come in 4th. They made some major mistakes last night.

As usaul I enjoyed Survivor. I'm not really sure I want to trust Russel's nephew. He is to good. And so far i'm liking Coach, he hasn't made an $$%^ out of himself. But it's early in the game. I felt sorry for him in the first challenge, he just wasn't getting it at all. I was really surprised that it didn't show any of Ozzies team making shelter. Maybe they did and I just missed it. They just wanted to go out in the water and get to know each other. The shy guy is kind of cute!

So was the winner of BB one of the return contestants?

So next week starts DWTS, Amazing Race starts soon. I am in Reality show heaven!!!!! But I'm in trouble because I saw commercials for NCIS and CSI

Yes, she was.

CSI sounds really good this season with Ted Danson joining the team. DWTS will be fun to watch, off and on. Anyone interesting going to be on DWTS? AR sucks, IMHO!:p

doydie 09-15-2011 11:12 PM

One of the more controversial contestants on DWTS is Chaz Bono, previously Chastity Bono. This will be their first person who has had a sex change operation on the show. He/she is a tad bit overweight and is working on it by the time the show starts.

Is he/she dancing as a he or she??

He/she is dancing as a he. Will be interesting to see if he is a diva in the making and if his mother will be appearing. Many times they use these famous people to get the musical acts on the results show. I don't want to see Cher. Talk about wardrobe malfunction. She IS a wardrobe malfunction

Judy2 09-17-2011 12:41 AM

Another program I enjoy is "Chopped" on the Food Network. They're finishing up with the Chopped Champion for the season, but I'm sure they'll continue with new chefs. It's so amazing to see the delicious looking dishes they put together with such disgusting sounding ingredients.:Starvin:

doydie 09-19-2011 11:25 PM

Well Survivor started last week. The sing off started tonight. It's kind of an odd show, all acapello and you have to like that kind of music. The whole purpose is to make an individual voice give different parts of an orchestra or band. The judges give coments about how they liked how the strings sound and I swear I can't hear anything that sounds like strings. I can hear percussion sometimes. They even mention woodwinds! One god thing about it si that the season doesn't last long. I don't think the general American public can take 2-3 months of it.

DWTS also started tonoght. It was the typical first night. I don't thik they liked the NBA player at all, he got the lowest star. One of the highest was the soccer champ and I thought she danced like an athlete, couldn't figure out how to make those legs look beautiful. Chaz Bono was left till the last because he was the most controversial. He did pretty goo for his first time. The comedians of the group will be Nancy Grace and Carson Pressley or at least I think that's what his name is. He is the fashion guru from Queer eye for the straight guy. He is down right funny!

Amazing Race starts next Sunday.

Another one I like is on HGTV, All American handyman. I think about 16 people from all walks of life started and they send home 2 people after each challenge. There may be 2 challenges in one night. This week they had to make a flight of stairs. There are several women in it that are quite good.

How are your shows going?????

Forgot to dd, The Biggest Loser starts tomorrow night I think. From the commercial I saw tonight it's old VS young

SallyC 09-20-2011 12:13 PM

The 2 hr finali of Hells Kitchen was on last night, so I missed most of dancing with the stars..:(

Is Nancy Grace on DWTS? Chaz makes a better looking guy than as a girl.

yep! Nancy Grace is on there. I didn't get to see much of it or I don't remember too much of it. The goalie was horrible. I have nothing against female athletes but why do they lack any sense of grace?? I used to be an athlete but I could put on a dress and look like I graduated at the top of my class in charm school.

I agree about the goalee. She has very muscular limbs but has no grace in them. I don't know why she got the higher score that she got. As far as Chaz, I don't remember seeing many pictures except when she was a little girl. I would assume he is married. They kept on showing a woman who was crying. With NCIS and TBL on tonight I can't record the finale anyway so since it always ends at about 1 minute after the hour I will just turn it over to ABC and see who is dancing thier swan song.

doydie 09-20-2011 10:04 PM

Well the outcome on TBL was quite predictable. I have a feeling that the two new trainers will be getting quite emotional throughout this whole process also. The one guy is a professional trainer and motivator. But I'm not sure the tennis star is sued to training a bunch of grossly emotional people and seeing them go from 150 lbs overweight to pretty decent and the emotional journey that goes along with it. As usual Bob did a fantastic job with his team.

I was happy with the elimination on DWTS. I didn't like this dancers attitude last night.

I hope I didn't spoil anything for anyone who has to watch it yet.

I can't believe it but I turned to TV off at 9 PM. I need a refund from God for the kind of nights sleep I got last night!!! So I am letting my DVR record my two shows at (, Body of proof and a new one. I also am so glad NCIS started back up tonight. I nned to start getting ready for vacation!!!!! I searched through Big Lots tonight to see if they ahd anything cheap for me to take.

Aarcyn 09-22-2011 12:27 PM

@Sally. Happy with the winner? I was rooting for him. He was smart to pick Elise as part of his team. She had been annoying all season but when it came down to helping in the finale, she would have been my choice on a team.

DWTS - I am glad Ron Artest is gone. On the basketball court, he is a jerk and uses his elbows too much for my liking. Maks seems to have a crush on his partner, he almost seems to giggle. It was so funny when she told him he was the most feminine man she had worked with!

I like Chaz, he seems vulnerable and just trying to dance, love Carson too. Derek has lost a bit of appeal to me this year. The male dancer from Scotland with Nancy Grace is very handsome!

TBL - poor Anna stuck with the old people. I am sure she has the training chops. I think she will look bad because it may be more difficult to put an older body in shape. We have seen it, just not as easy?

Bob has even more tattoos this year. Maybe the tattoo artist on the young team will treat him to one after it is all over!

Did you notice that Bob has the Black team? He gave up his blue.

Who would you want as a trainer?

SallyC 09-22-2011 01:38 PM

Cyn, I wanted Elise to win. She made me chuckle and a pretty good cook. I'm glad the guy won though.:)

Aarcyn 09-22-2011 02:14 PM

I liked Elise from the moment she won the blindfold taste test.

doydie 09-22-2011 03:31 PM

Even as tough as Bob is I would want him as a trainer. It will be interesting to see how tough Anna gets with her older team. The other new guy is also hard but he likes himself to much.

On Survivor last night I was sure that Russels nephew was going to tell the team who he was.

doydie 09-28-2011 11:19 PM

I don't know how Anna's older team is ever going to win a weigh in on TBL. I'm glad they sent the guy home that they did but the other older lady is there on borrowed times. And Anna is just goin to have to find a way to get tough on those guys.

DWTS. I'm not sure why the lady was eliminated. I read on the message board that she didn't have an American fan base. But last year they had a model who was foreign and she stayed a long time. But her demeanor was completely different.

Survivor. I'm really not sure why the guy got kicked off the team tonight except he didn't do well in the challenge. Russells nephew just better be glad his team won the challenge because he would be over on Redemption Island right now. I'm just not believing his religous talk.

doydie 09-29-2011 10:09 PM

I just finished watching X Factor. Actually I didn't know it was on until yesterday! So I recorded it and then watched tonights which is the last of the auditions. It will be a lot different than AI since the four judges each take a category and mentor them. They will be divided into kids, groups, men and women. I thought they had a lot more of the true talent in the auditions instead of jsut showing the bad ones. They did show a good fair shair of those though. The auditions now go to boot camp. i don't know what that will consist of though Simon did say that it will be pared down to something like 32.

doydie 10-03-2011 12:13 AM

We had super with friends tonight which was totally worth it but was gone for 5 hours. So i missed Handyman and Amazing race. I'll get them on the DVR tomorrow. But this week I really have to concentrate on all the last minute details on our vacation. I am used to having a father/husband that takes total control over all these things. My husband packs his suitcase the night before and wants me to have everything else ready. He saiys he does the driving.

SallyC 10-05-2011 02:42 PM

I've decided that watching the last hour of the four hour DWTS is more than enough. the rest is unnecessary and boring.:D Last nights loser was a travesty... It should have been Chaz, but Cher promised to make an appearence, if Chaz was on one more week.

Aarcyn 10-05-2011 03:12 PM

DWTS - I accidentally saw the results before I even got the chance to see the dancing. Darnnit! Gotta be more careful or watch in real time.

I like Chaz, not a fan of Lacey and I have no clue why! Funny how I have had this response about her from when she was on SYTYCD. I won't be sad if/when his dancing days are over. Chaz seems like a nice man, other stars/contestants seem to like him.

I still need to watch the show. Don't have a favorite on it but it is nice that no one is so much more talented. I must admit, no good looking guys on it for me!

TBL - funny how the one shown crying all the time is the football player! It was interesting to hear how he had to forage for food as a child. Poor kids born in poverty here in America. He used to collect bottles to trade in for money for food. My mom had to do that during the Depression.

SallyC 10-05-2011 07:49 PM

I like Chaz too, as a person. He just can't dance.:p

doydie 10-05-2011 11:29 PM

I think it is very interesting that Cher says she will be there for him if he is there next week and some how he makes it through another week. Ratings maybe? I only watch the real competition. I can't fit all my shows on my DVR and leave off the results show for DWTS. I read it on the internet who goes home.

Yeah, that big football player isn't afraid to cry. I will be glad to see him back down to a healthy weight. It was so good to see the oldies but goodies finally be safe from elimination. I don't know what what Bob does differently but he gets results. Now Anna is to soft on her team. I don't know how they would do with Bob But if she had any other team I don't think they would have the same weight loss they are having with their trainers.

Is it to early to talk about Survivor yet? I was surprised with who they voted out. I enjoyed Jeff Probst pyschology session with the team. So and so, what is the most annowing thing about so and so? Next weeks challenge is gross.

I said it because I know there are so many time zones represented here and I didn't want to ruin it for anyone.

doydie 10-15-2011 09:38 PM

Well I have watched Survivor and Amazing race off my DVR so far. I think they have used that eating type contest before on Survivor. Yuck, it was gross. then Brandon fixing it up real special and they all thought it was wonderful.

Still have DWTS to watch.

doydie 10-16-2011 03:42 PM

Well I've watched the Biggest loser and DWTS now. I feel so sorry for the older guys on TBL. They just can't keep up with the younger guys. Although I see the reasoning on voting off the coach, he does know how to train on his own and he can get good numbers at home, they need some one strong on their tiny team.

I don't watch the result show on DWTS so I don't know who was voted off. Can some one help me?

I'm watching X Factor now. ONly problem is my TV is digitalizing and I can't call my cable provider and change out the DVR because I know he will carry all my DVR'd shows out the door with him. They have tried to send signals to my TV and it never works.

It was Chynna Phillips. I'm not sure of the spelling but you know who I'm talking about. I only watch the last couple of minutes of the results show. I like Downsized and that comes on at the same time.

SallyC 10-17-2011 08:28 PM

DWTS...JR and Ricky Lake are still my favs.:)

doydie 10-17-2011 10:59 PM

JR is my favorite and he showed why tonight! He has such a wonderful story to tell. I can't believe it but I am beginning to really like Chaz.

SallyC 10-17-2011 11:15 PM

I like Chaz too, he is working hard and improving a lot..:)

mochagirl13 10-18-2011 09:08 AM

Love JR. He is truly inspirational. And he can dance.:D Nancy Grace needs to go. I'm rooting for JR and Ricki to be in the final. I think Carson's time is up or it should be.

Aarcyn 10-18-2011 01:47 PM

I was thinking about DWTS last night and this thread. Mochagirl kinda beat me to it though. It was not about who I want to see in the finals but who I would not mind seeing gone tonight.

I think Nancy Grace's partner is very cute. Carson dances a lot like I would if I was in the competition.

But either of them can go. Who would you mind losing tonight?

doydie 10-18-2011 10:58 PM

I really enjoyed Carsons dancing. It wasn't technical but he is fun. I think it was Hope the other night that I thought her partenr was having to pull her around like a sack of potatoes.

Aarcyn 10-19-2011 12:51 PM

I enjoyed Carson showing the fun of learning a routine and keeping his sense of humor throughout. I would have rather had Nancy Grace or Rob Kardashian leave the competition first.

Neither of them are any better than Carson at dancing!

And it looks like Maks no longer has a crush on Hope Solo! Every time I watched him as she spoke, he was so obviously not interested! And it did look like he was dragging her around the dance floor.

Then again, with my disability, I would gladly be in Maks' strong arms dragging me around, even on national TV!:p

Aarcyn 10-19-2011 07:54 PM

I just read a few comments on a dwts thread about the show people being sad about Carson getting voted off. All the other contestants were saying he is way funny and could diffuse any bad feelings.

Then it was suggested he replace Brook in the interview room. What a funny show if he and Tom Bergeron were the two hosts!
