How was the weekend and how are things going with your family?

What do you do instead of watching tv? Do you have craft projects? Something relaxing like reading?

Hi Mari,

Well on Saturday I spent the day watching my grandson Will which was
a day of rollercoasters after taking Derrick to work. Dale had to get
up and take him with me. Because with all the snow my oldest had
parked behind me.

So we had breakfast at an all you can eat. And man can Will eat more
eggs than an Adult. Three heaping plate fulls and a start on a 4th. The
girl waiting on our table was impressed.

He ate other things too. Then we went shopping and came home.

Then Will and I returned to get Derrick, and with snow. We went to
Subway and had a late lunch early dinner and then came home. Waited
on my middle one to pick up Will.

Then I relaxed on Facebook for a while and watched Rookie Blues. Hoping
they have another season out. That we can find, that one was good.

We sometimes watch movies on the dvd or vcr. Or I do read at times.

I just bought a search book to do.

I also am on facebook some nights.

Just what ever I decide looks fun. But I watch some shows on the computer.

While I wait on the weather to get better. So we can get something.

I'm honestly not sure what Will is at.

Growth for sure. But we will see, I hope its speech soon.

Wow, could you tell I was off.

I haven't felt the best since last night. It comes and goes today
is worse than most of last night. I had to cancel on a parent
because I couldn't drive 1 hour away.

But she remembered there are phone conferences and got me added
that way.

But I am doing good. At times I still miss the TV, but most of the
time I am doing good just waiting. So is Derrick. Which that part
is good.

He wont be able to afford a service when he moves so doing what
he is now is what he will then. So having to do it now is the good thing.
He then isn't having to do it as a sacrifice.

Anyway, he has found so much on U tube. digimon today, and who knows what tomorrow. Its been interesting.

I am impressed.

Yep Derrick is.

Today its been -22 then -17 at 8am.

Now its like -10 or more. Ugh.

So its going back down tonight. Then tomorrow, we might warm up
to the 20's. Yeah.

So we changed the date to go get Will's new kitty, decided to wait
till tomorrow. Just to cold for it to travel today.

That is so cold it is almost hard to try to imagine it.

I hope tomorrow is warmer so that WIll can get the new kitty.

No, we are waiting till tomorrow with it never getting warmer than
0. I wasn't liking the thought.

So tomorrow, its name is Pistol, I imagine it will get a nick name with
that I'll let you know.

She has had the name for 5 years. So I think she will keep it.

Today right now, Devin is going in to Almost Home and adopting
if the plan is going right. He is there at the moment.

A kitty he has been wanting since November, His name is avenger.
He is a beautiful yellow color. So it will be two kitties tonight.

So this will be interesting. He went today, because they are running
a special and he really wants him.

He has been going out to petsmart and some of the other places to
be seen lately.

So this is going to be good.

Yep, we have a avenger and a pistol.

I think my son is having just as much fun as Will.

It is going to be as good for Devin as Will. See they had two kitties
when the girls left. And Devin chose to send them both with Sabrina
and the girls. So he has been missing them.

I am so pleased, the yellow one is from Almost home and was a owner
surrender. And Devin was in love with him. I tried to get him to let
me go ahead and get him too. But he wouldn't. With what happened
with Daisy it might have been best.

But it seems Avenger is trying to tell Devin by singing how much he
is enjoying having a home again.

And pistol was doing better yesterday.

I'm not a happy camper today.

Please if your looking to purchase a new computer don't get a HP.

I've said this before. And a Toshiba. My son's HP harddrive or
mother board, if they aren't the same. Went out.

And even though we bought a expensive 2 year plan, it had to be
shipped off to be fixed. 3 to 5 weeks.

Or we could have paid for the parts and the local Best Buy would
have fixed with the rest of the plan.

What a mess.

Three or five weeks is almost reasonable. (ANd I hope it comes early)
He can manage --- even if it does feel like forever.

Keep holding on and taking care.

My biggest problem was that they thought, if I just paid for the
part they would fix it locally.

Why the heck pay for the warranty if I wanted to do that.

Ugh, its not that easy to do, twice.

I just got a notice from the site that has it. That they have figured out
what part it needs, the part is in and I guess they are working on it.

Or not who knows.

Did you have another snow day today?

Yep, we got so snowed in. That we were on a Travel Warning.
Till noon. We were essential and emergency only.

So I called myself in to my parent, and let the conference members know.
Then I cancelled my meeting in the afternoon. They understood, both
of the groups. Don't put yourself in danger.

But I had emailed Derrick in. Its always been okay. For me to do this.
I didn't call because I can never tell if the guy gets the message.
It goes to a machine, and he never lets anyone know he got the message.

But then I get a message back. That Derrick needs to start calling in himself.
And some more stuff later. About a something in the new handbook.
About unless your ill you should come to work.

Um, can't do a thing about the warning. Next if I'm ill, then he hasn't got
a ride during the week. I can't just call a taxi for him. We don't have
them. Or a bus to come get him.
I refuse to let him walk. So I got mad and sent back a little note. Explaining,
these things. And also sent it to the CEO, who used to be my
contact.


I think he got mad because he thinks the things he is in hot water over and some of the rest of the staff Derrick caused. Gosh, so are we starting
all over there now. With staff not liking Derrick.

Ugh, I can have Derrick do the phone call. But that doesn't mean that
this idiot will get the message or understand it.

Can someone tell this crazy weather of mine that its not supposed to
go from snowing daily, to raining so hard my husband can't work.

But alas, It looks like Derrick is going to work.
I'm going to my second Doctor's appt. Third tomorrow.
And then I'm done for 4 months I think. Yippee.

Will make my 2nd case conference, and pick up Derrick.

And will only had to cancel one this week. I am not counting how
many I had to cancel this winter. Would be a record.

Everyone try to stay dry today, don't let the wind blow you away.

And see ya on the other side of the rainbow for me I hope soon.

I am so tired of weather that doesn't have nice in its name.

Looking at the date of the last post. And the topic.

Heehee, and I just got yet another new snow mess.

Wow, is it just going to snow and snow all the time.

Sure seems like it. Anyone that wants snow come to my
neck of the woods.

Anyway, I had a great Saturday. Till about 8pm, when I was
looking at Derrick's face across the room. And knew something
was wrong. I got him, Will and I out of the FREEDOM EVENT
which we all had a great 2 hours. And made sure the two
I had picked up on the way had a way home.

HE might have had a small seizure, but we don't know. So aren't
going to worry much. Because he is definitely sick now.

Yes, I think he is a little better.

He had a great Doctor's appt. We got some good news.

He is having a EEG, if its how it usually is. The doctor is
going to reduce his zonegran to 200 from 250.

Also I had a great first day back to work yesterday.

I had a rough case, but I think we are headed in the right
way with the young one. That is what matters to me.
But to have the mom keep telling me, thank you.

You are my savior and just was nice to have a friend.
I wanted to say we are just that all friends, with kids
with trouble. Learning to deal with each case.

Tomorrow I have another ccc, so we will see.
Friday a meeting with a new parent.

And they are trying to set up a ccc conference that needs some adjustments.

So its become a long full week.

Well we are in a new week.

I had a great week last week. And my day just got better.
Got a phone call, just heard the message. From a co-worker
that has been helping & pretty much handling this difficult
situation. I came in while I was getting ready for my vacation.

So I had given the dad her email and phone number.
And things are going like they wanted. Its a good thing when
this kind of stuff happens.

I have not been well today so I took the day off sick.

I had a case yesterday that it will be a while to see what they do.
Its a not so good mom, with following through. And the school
has struggled with getting ahold of when necessary.

We are doing a case tomorrow, that is a toss up. So we will
see.
My friend and Volunteer is in charge of this one. I'm just helping
as needed.

donna, you work on disciplinary actions for kids?

Yes Bizi.

I have lots of Behavior Intervention plans for my kiddos.

But they can be lots of different varieties, right now its
emotional disabled, Some learning disabled, and a bunch
of both cognitive delay and autism.

So this is a area if the school sets up a great one. The student
will progress.

Today, I found out the Autism Fair, that is in Indianapolis every
year. Hadn't been set up with a IN*SOURCE worker.


So my supervisor has me going. They took the Indianapolis
fairs away about 18 months ago. But it seems the staff
down there isn't as wanting to do them as they thought
they would be.


I's glad to be going. But sorry I had to be so persistent to
make sure its covered.
