It is 2:30am and I am beyond exhausted but wide awake
I am still having migraines every day but it is the knives in my wrist and shoulder keeping me awake. And the bone scrapping in my forearm. And the fire.
I've taken tramadol but it isn't helping. I just want to sleep. At least I don't have to work tomorrow. So very tired. :( |
Sorry you are having such a rough time Kim! I hope you get some relief and sleep soon!!

It's 3:30am now and I still can't sleep. The pain is so bad I can hardly lie still but moving around doesn't help.
It is going to be a long night. |

Hi Kim, I'm awake too, though its only 1115p on the east coast/ USA. You are not alone :-)

Often a warm bath with epsom salts helps me. I get out of bed and do something that distracts me from the pain, and stops me from laying in bed fretting. Crossword puzzle, Suduko puzzle, old movie, are some ideas. Hope you find rest and comfort tonight. ~ Lottie

Sorry you are not feeling well
Try to listen some relaxing music ,in YouTube you can find a video of Tibetan singing bowls,is very relaxing, you never know ,my work for you, also if you got to ER you can ask the dr for toridol injection ,hurts a lot but takes your headache away right away and stays in your body for a while ,I hope that helps and you can have some comfort either way, blessings, from Jesika :grouphug:

I am so sorry KimA!! Do you have any epsom salts on hand that you could go soak in for a while? This sounds terrible but on my worse nights where I couldn't sleep I took a shot of Niquil and it did the trick.
Got any good books? |
I'm so sorry that you can't sleep Kim. I usually am up all night and then sleep most of the day. It's so weird and frustrating. I don't usually have migraines, but maybe a heating pad may help. I also make a cup of chamomille tea and turn on the tv and watch some comedies. I love Seinfeld and Friends. I also eat some chocolate and then lie under the covers. I have pain pills that help with my occasional headaches and insomnia. I take xanax and zoloft at night for depression and anxiety from which help calm my nerves and that helps with my headaches. Maybe your dr can talk to you about a med that may help you sleep. I know that doesn't help you right now though. I hope maybe some of the other suggestions given to you may help you sleep. I know it stinks, but I hope it helps to know that you're not alone. Everyone here is so nice and are always around when you need them. I hope you can get rid of your migraine and get some sleep soon. With love, your friend, Renee.
