I'm a happier camper...AC is fixed! to the tune of $170 to diagnosis and replace the fan capacitor. :thud: At least it wasn't something major. Good news the house went from 82 to 70 degrees in about 15 minutes! :D Too bad I can't afford to keep it that cool all the time!:eek: 75 degrees keeps me sane.;)

YEAH!!! I would be dying without my a/c. I heard on the radio that it is supposed to be around 100 today. :thud: It was in the mid 70s at 7:30 this morning.

Every year, it seems we have to have our a/c fixed. The people who lived here before us put it in and didn't really pick the right system for the house. It's always a battle to keep it running but our neighbor is an HVAC guy and does a lot of repairs in trade for beer plus the cost of parts!!

AC is on here, work has been crazy, everyone thinks they have the flu, so far none really do. Taking the kids out of town for the weekend to have some fun. Now in addition to my MS I was diagnosed with Diabetes so started meds for that too. I shot the tube on Tuesday on our big new MRI machine, they had me in the tube for 2 1/2 hours while they tried out their bells and whistles! By then I was begging to be let out! Hope u guys have a great day!

Mornin' all. Well the sickest kid goes to the doc this afternoon. Don't know if it is a flu or just a head cold but nothing seems to make it better.

I work today and have my fingers crossed that it will be a really slow morning. I don't care what the afternoon is like as I won't be there.:p Either I'm having a bad week or the job honeymoon is over. I hope it is just a rough week but I've been there for almost five months now.:eek: :D I guess everything has to lose its sparkle eventually. :(

Must make a phone call then head for work.

Have a great one! :hug::grouphug::hug:

tkrik 05-07-2009 08:42 AM

Holly - What a deal! You are so lucky to have a neighbor like that.

Renee - Sorry about the diabetes. I hope they can get in under control quickly. And, 2 1/2 hours in the tube would definitely do me in.:eek: Yikes! I hope the results of the MRI and good with no changes.:hug:

Sox - Not raining here but will be hot as heck, 100's??. UGH! A nap sounds great!

Weave - Sorry about the job honeymoon being over with. It may just be that this week you are just having an off week. I can't believe you have been there 5 months already. Where does time go? It seems like you just got that job.

Hi everyone else! Thinking of you all as well and hope everyone has a good day today!:hug::grouphug:

Pam, so glad you got the A/C fixed

Renee, sorry to hear about the diabetes dx. :hug: Hope the meds help. Have fun on the out of town excursion.

Weave, hope it's just a rough week. :hug: I can't believe it's been five months either. Pretty cool

Sox, enjoy your quiet day today. :hug:

Holly, lol! I love guys who do stuff for beer. We have a few friends like that. :)

Trish, stay cool with those temps like that. :hug:

~~~~~~~~~~
Morning all :) Have my usual cup of coffee in hand, and so not ready to start my day. :rolleyes:
Had some bad spasms last night. ick, ick, ick. So not really wanting to be awake right now, but needed to get up to take meds. :D Got one that absolutely has to be taken every 24, so yipee.
My slug day was actually productive yesterday, lol. Got in contact with a few people, submitted my artwork to a couple of places, got reserved to do two art festivals (July and Sept.), have a pending sale of some artwork - and all without leaving the comfy of my couch. :D I love my laptop!
Hoping everyone has a good day today. :grouphug::grouphug:
It's cloudy and rainy here today. I probably won't go out anywhere. Having spasms in my shoulder and back this morning. I took a Baclofen so maybe that will help.
I've been watching a little sparrow feed her baby this morning under the bird feeder. They're so sweet.......I enjoyed watching them (and so did my cats). I'm thankful that I now notice little things like that. In my pre-MS life I probably wouldn't have taken the time to stop and watch.
Well, Kevin and his GF didn't get the house they were hoping for. Someone else came along who could pay cash and offered more than the asking price. I told them that they didn't want to be somewhere they weren't supposed to be. There's something else out there for them. But, they were disappointed because they really liked the house and the area it was in.
I've done 1 load of laundry, cleaned my bathroom and run the dishwasher. We're having spaghetti for dinner so I still have to make the sauce later this afternoon. Probably will squeeze in a nap at some point.
Everyone have a good day! :grouphug:
