A while back you guys may or may not remember on the Tyra show Ashley, teenager who started Rock Out to Knock Out RSD... welllllllll
I've known her for a few years now, and went to one of her benefit shows down in Bakersfield, Ca where they're from... and they have asked me to put together a show for them here in Northern Cali, Santa Cruz to be specific... I'm shooting for August, and so far I have a venue, where a lot of big names do/have played throughout the years, pretty sure I have all the bands I need... so now I'm working on donations... This is where I thought maybe some of you may be able to help??? I'm trying to find things to raffle off and use in our silent auction. Maybe you or somebody you know is an artist? or can some how get their hands on a pair of tickets for an event? Any donation can be written off on taxes, as they are a non profit org. So I can get all that stuff to the donater. Or maybe if you yourself have started some kind of RSD foundation and make pins, shirts, stickers, etc.... and would be willing to part with some so we can give out at the show... that would be awesome too!!! I'm hoping to get this event broadcasted all over our radio stations and the papers, and possibly the local news stations once I have the for sure date and time and all that info set.

Hi Andrea!!!
This is a dream come true!! I have so often dreamed of how great it would be to have an RSD consciousness-raising event in my area!!! And you're making it happen!!  My son and daughter live in Santa Cruz..(although my daughter is in El Salvador for now) I live about an hour and a half away from Santa Cruz and get down there often.. Please fill me in on details such as the time frame and what kind of items you'd need for raffle, etc..you can PM me ! I'm hoping I can get some donation items!! I sure do want to attend and to help if I can!! This is very exciting!! I commend you for taking big steps in making this happen, and for being so pro-active!! Hugs from Hope4thebest xoxox

Got an official date! August 17th at the Catalyst, downtown Santa Cruz in the Atrium!!! 4 bands: 2 from LA- Silent Treatment and EvoLove, both are diverting from their tour to come play, and two Santa Cruz bands- Mirros and 3Upfront. They're all on myspace if you guys want to check them out!
there were issues with the letter head when it got emailed to me so they're mailing me some tomorrow... i'll print my letter on it and mail you a copy of it as soon as they get here if that's alright... just pm me your address.

Haha really?! that's awesome! ya my best friend/"brother" is in the band... they're playing my show on their way home from warped tour. The show will be 16 and over. how old is your daughter?? That would be awesome if you guys could come, and even awesomer (i know its not a word lol) if you would be willing to donate things to help out! you can pm me or email me. my email is this sn @yahoo.com. bring all her friends too!

For those of you planning on trying to come, you'll have an opportunity to win a little vacation! my mom is a travel agent and her agency is looking into donating either a little 2-3 day cruise, a trip to disneyland or a vegas vacation! I know we could all use a fun getaway!

AARGH!! 16 and over???? she will have turned 15 on the 24th! Is there anyway we can get around it for her?
