I was just praying for our friends here and Cake came upon my heart.
She and her family had a horrible accident. I was just wondering if anyone has spoken with her. Her heartbreak weights heavy on my heart. I hope that she and her family are mending, and she knows that we are thinking and praying for them. Any update would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Kim

I talk to Kate and her oldest daughter almost on a daily basis. They are doing well, and trying to move forward as best as they can. Certain days are better, and some are worse, but that's only to be expected. They are a very strong family, and I admire them all for getting through such a traumatic experience in the way that they have. I can't even imagine being in their shoes, but I know that they are all doing a terrific job on moving forward but never forgetting Liv.
Love you subby!

msdrea, you are Andrea are you not from the old RSD forum?? I remember Kate from the previous RSD forum & we use to chat off & on there.
Kate & her daughter, the whole family in fact, will never forget her........... and will think of her at some point during every day, especially Kate will. Would you please forward my heartfelt condolences.............I do know exactly what she is going thru in so many ways. I lost my daughter, Erin, on Jan 20th, 2009. It took my breath away to read what Kate & her family is going thru & I most certainly wish that they didn't have to go thru this. This is definitely a club no mother would ever wish to belong too. And being a mother one thing she has written that is so true.......we do hurt in ways different to our child's father...............and I am not taking away from their hurt, but it is different because we are the ones who fell in love with that child the moment we knew we were pregnant.......And also I wish that none of the other children had to be there either when the accident happened. I would not wish their memories of the accident on anyone, not even an adult let alone two children. My heart hurts tremendously for the whole family................. I use to go by DebbyV at the old forum, Now it is just Debby altho I do sign off as DebbyV DebbyV |

DebbyV.
I am so sorry for your loss. Even though I cannot fathom the impact or how you must feel; I do feel that I can relate on somewhat of a certain level. I was 21 when my baby brother (who was nine. I pretty much raised him) was diagnosed with cancer. We lost him, but with a great fight. I feel like I am perhaps getting too graphic; but I need to console you and tell you that even if I cannot colsole (sp?), I feel for you. You are MUCH loved here and want you to rest in the knowledge that we all feel for you and lift you up in our prayers. Thank you for sharing your story. You can PM me if you feel so inclined...Your friend, Kim

Hi Everyone
Andrea let me know you guys are thinking of me, so I thought I'd pop in here quickly. Thanks for all the messages of support, and all the thoughts. I'm on Facebook most days but I haven't been on any other forums etc at all in the past four months. But I always appreciate the support you guys give me, and have always given me. I'm having a rough day today, really sad and upset, so won't write much now. Some days are good, some aren't, but it's more a matter of some MOMENTS are good, some MOMENTS are bad, because my mood and emotional state changes every five minutes. We've been able to enjoy moments, but everything is bittersweet. The kids are getting on ok but the emotional trauma of not just losing their sister but being in that horrific car/tanker truck accident and seeing their sister like that, is something that has totally changed them and our family. So we're not just grieving for the loss of Olivia's life, we're grieving the loss of the family we were, the Mum I was, the relationship Bai and Liv had, the children they were before this. It's tough but we're getting each other through each day, and are held up by the support of so many friends and family around the world. It's ironic really, how things work out. My RSD started when Olivia was 7 months old, so in November it will be ten years. For all of her life, I've lived with the most painful condition known to man, yet it's absolutely nothing compared to the pain in my heart. Anyway, I just want to thank you all for your ongoing support, it means a lot to me. xxxx
