Default I got talked into a flu shot!

I have NEVER had a flu shot before. I have never had the flu before until recently. I went to see the local neuro guy who is quite ....hmmm....how shall I say...matter of fact. to the point. blunt is a good word. He questioned me on my choice to not get a flu shot. I explained I had never had the flu, and since I had never had it, I didnt feel the need to get poked with any more needles than I do everyday.

He went a bit pink in the face, and pointed to my records. Said "you have never had the flu until...and he flipped my record over...till recently, and then of all flus, you got H1N1. So, it proves that you are not invunerable. MS kept your immune system working hard, and I believe that you never had the flu, or colds, but since I am using Copaoxone to "regulate" your immune system, I expect your body to behave like everyone elses." WOW He went on for a few minutes, and asked my DH if he had his flu shot. He said he ALWAYS gets one. (thanks frank) And the MD used that as a jumping off point that "healthy people with healthy habits dont get sick" I got this lecture on unhealthy habits...sheesh!

before all was said and done, I had a nurse standing over me with the MD saying " i REALLY want you to take this flu shot." I gave him the puppy dog face, and he said "REALLY want you to have it." The DH said "me too!" so, I rolled up my sleeve, and BLAMMO! it pinched, but nothing major.

I took a big girl pill and had my flu shot. The DH had to take me out for a nice lunch after to keep him out of trouble for not being my buddy in there. I hate MS! Have I said that recently?! I HATE this disease. it has caused me so much grief. Before going into that MD I would have bet 1k that i wouldnt take the flu shot. There were signs everywhere that flu shot clinics were canceled. He said he had some on reserve for "immune compromised" patients. then waggled a finger at me and said "thats YOU!" sheesh! no pressure or nothing.

Ive been poked!

Good for you! He's right you know. haha Now, take a couple of ibuporfin's or Tylenol to help keep the arm from being tender. Something in this years shot made our arms hurt this year.

Good for you! I'm glad you got one. I had mine about a month ago. I hope to get the H1N1 soon.

This year's shot didn't hurt me at all but last year's did. Kind of weird the way that works. Both DD and DH complained about this year's shot. Tomorrow me and DD go for the H1N1 shot - that is unless the doctor calls and says they ran out like they did with the regular flu shot.

I was at the injection nurse's stand last week for my b12 and she asked if - as long as I was there - I wanted the H1NI vaccine and I said no. As I was walking out I kept second guessing myself, should I have gotten that?? I'm still on the 'no shot' tip but, you never know! I might change my mind one of these days. It can't be ALL that bad....

All I can say is keep a journal as to your reactions to any flu shot,
H1N1 or regular. This means injection site inflammation,
headache, or any exacerbations of your MS symptoms over the next months. The reactions to the adjuvants take some time
to develop.

It is interesting to note, that the inserts for the vaccines, do not list ingredients, except for thiomersal.(I checked the FDA site) Multidose vials deliver 25mcg of mercury per injection. Some standard flu vaccines will give antibiotics contained in them, such as gentamycin, polymyxin, and neosporin.
Prefilled syringes for children do not have thiomersal.

One has to hunt on the net to find the other ingredients.
This is one link I found for the H1N1:
http://vactruth.com/2009/09/11/ingre...-h1n1-vaccine/

It shouldn't be this difficult to find the truth. IMO.

I woke last night at 2am with a fever. My arm is tender, and swollen a bit at the injection site. the site is pinkish. I feel like someone punched me really hard in the arm. It didnt hurt for the first couple of days, but now I am questioning why I did this. I will call the MD and ask if this is normal.

Does anyone else get swelling in the shot area? pink? its not painful, but its quite sore.

I believe this is the reaction to the adjuvants in the shot.
The virus is dead (supposedly).
But doctors don't know about adjuvants. They are not listed on the
insert. I had a devil of a time, finding them.

I don't believe the regular flu shot has the squalene, unless they hid it in there and didn't tell. The only way we know the H1N1 has
it, is from the releases that some parents read carefully during the short trials for it.

Dr. Blaylock calls the reactions to the vaccines, from dead virus, cytokine storms. This means your body is mounting inflammation against the adjuvants.

If anyone is interested in the HISTORY of the vaccines, and WHO exactly is making them, etc, I found a very interesting
series of 4 videos, newly put up on YouTube.
Just keyword in Dr. Len Horowitz vaccine.
I have the written words too at another website, but they are a repeat of the 4 videos. (nothing new in them).
