Oh I thank each and everyone of you for you words of hope it has brought me tears and happiness hugs to all of you!
![]() Yes I see your point Lisa of how all the help I get, sorry for being so down but you can relate all of you with this I feel so weak and helpless I want to do things also bless everyone for helping me. My pot belly stove I have a heater but to help keep my bill low I use it during winter I keep a big pot on it to help keep moisture in the air.Lisa the Ozarks are nice with the rolling hills and the grand colors of fall we can get, the spring brings in the dogwoods bloomin and the color all comes back. Cant wait to see the spring come back and old man winter go hibernate I had this flash back of when I was young we used to get our honey from a stand on the side of the road you would just stop and pick the jar you wanted and just put the money in a cigar box, things where so diffrent than slower less hectic and trust oh the farmer did not have to be at his stand he trusted people. Ok another one of the foggy moments in time silly country women think straight. I love you all I will be happy to join this great big family! Lil ![]() |

lil,
i've been hunting for an artiocle posted ages ago on the old forum....i thought i had saved it but apparently not, since i can't find it.....your post about being a "burden" is what prompted the search, so i will try to tell the story as best i can.....it went something like this: ----------------------------------------------- have u ever noticed birds flying in a "V" formation?....do u know that the leaders at the point of the 'v' take turns?......the birds in front create a bit of a slipstream which makes the flying easier for the birds farther back....when the point bird gets too tired to continue, it drops back to a position where it is sheltered a bit and a different bird takes the lead. ----------------------------------------------- i think life itself can be like that.....and it's certainly true of this group....we were all new to this at some point, and needed lots of advice, understanding and/or encouragement and the long term members ('point birds' of the group) created a bit of a slipstream for us......after settling in here, many of us have tried to do the same for newcomers when we could.....we don't all have the same approach to it....we have brilliant researchers, we have some folks who always have something funny to lighten your day, we have others who can provide good advice on dealing with legal matters, and we have "flocks" of people who will restore your ability to cope with the minor disasters of everyday life. so take whatever u need right now.....at some time, u will be the person creating ease for newcomers.....we constantly change places in our "flying formation", and just like birds, it keeps us going. welcome aboard! liz |

And the "point" goose doesn't honk. The rest honk, but not the one in the lead.
Some scientists, and people who believe God created a good world, believe they are calling encouragement to the leader. Isn't it nice that they don't seem to mind changing leaders? That not one of them feels she/he should be the boss?

Hey Liz,
I realised that little "thank you" thingy wasn't enough for me - I just want you to know how much I liked the bird analogy, and how well I think it applies here - you explained it beautifully. I didn't know that, about the birds......how interesting. Hope you're doing OK, all the best ![]() |

the bird analogy is wonderful..
welcome lilly! I hope that you can get some support from here... it's very hard feeling that you have to be dependant on everyone for things you need, but I have learnt that in reality, they never mind about doing it. The hardest thing I find is to accept someones help! Really hope things improve for you! Love Rxxxxxxxxx
