Kathy, what wonderful news!! I am not sure if you are a WC or not. If so your cash benefit will supplement the income between what you are now getting and what you would make up to a certain amount. You will now be on Medicare, this may be back dated or your waiting time reduced depending on how long your process took. everything is back-dated to the day you applied so you may also receive a check that makes up the wage difference or catch you up on payments that have been missed while you waited for the case to be settled. What wonderful news! I am on my first appeal, because one of the doctors didn't send in my medical records...I'm not really going to complain, because that will me a big fat back pay check....live it up, girl!
