My fingerschange color too. They usually have pupleish blotches but turn white when pain is the most. My finger nails also have those ridges and they grow faster than my other hand. All theses symptoms are common with this "monster". Just try to except it and learn all you can...
Hope for better days, Jimbo |

Hi Debra,
Yes, I get colour changes in my right hand all the time. Sometimes its a purplish/blue with white dots, other times its bright red and at times it has been very white looking. I also get a shooting pain from my ring finger as well as a shooting pain from my shoulder (rotator cuff). Unfortunately, it seems this is common with RSD as I have read many others get this as well. My physio therapist told me to use moist heat on the hand when it became cold and bluish/purple/white and painful. Not sure if it actually does something or not but think it gives me a little piece of mind that I am doing something to make it better. Sadly, it is usually just time that takes it away. Take care, Karen |
