Default savella

has anybody taken savella to attempt to attack the muscle part of pain? if so, side effects, did it work? how long have you been on it and what dose?

I have been reading back on a post that was started in Feb of this year... I noticed alot on high blood pressure, and weird side effects. I take cymbalta and have no problems with it so I wont have that problem... but in comparison to like baclofen or other muscle medications... Since many people who tried this hasnt stayed on it because of BP what else is out there as an option for the bone aching muscle pain?

(I cant get high BP because I cant get my ketamine infusions then, and thats just a no-no

I switched from Doxepin to Savella back in March. I honestly haven't noticed a difference so I can't really say how much it has been helping or not. I take 50mg 2x daily. I haven't noticed any BAD side effects from it though either. Though I just started taking Cymbalta too and have been getting violently ill from that. Could just be I'm not reacting well to the Cymbalta specifically (which is what I think), but I suppose it's possible that it's interacting with the savella since they are in the same family of medications and the double up might be causing problems. Sorry I can't be more help with this, but I do take the savella and even though it didn't make a noticeable helpful difference, it didn't cause any harm either.

Thats great to know! Thanks so much for letting me do that. I have been on Cymbalta for 3 years... so it might be a noepinephrine overdose for you... How much cymbalta are you taking? Maybe they can lower the cymbalta amount. I know the cymbalta really helps me with mentally managing the pain, I have NO idea if it even helps with the pain its been so long and i havent been off of it since. I take 60mg... i know some people have to start at 30 and work up from there.
Its an automatic put me in a good mood. Also, know that the flu is going around... I thought my meds were making me sick but it was the flu. I start the savella tomorrow. That helped alot knowing you didnt have any bad side effects... better no effect than bad, right?!

I'm taking 30mg right now and when the doctor put me on it she said that when I saw her in a couple months that she would be wanting to up it to 60mg. I thought about the flu or something like that, which is why I have been watching the clock to see if it is consistently after I take the Cymbalta and it is. And it's a completely different feeling than I usually have when I get sick and throw up...this is violent and comes on so fast. But definitely something for me to keep in mind. I hope the savella helps you.
