I do stay connected to the RSD site, even though that is not my main issue. I have degenerative joint disease, NP is present, so I have an idea of the RSD pain. I have Cervial, throat, and ankle issues that cripple me. The NP in the foot is rough. I so know how much my own hurts, I reach out to those that have RSD and CRPS. I also have a friend in my area that has this, a cousin with MS and a neighbor that had PD. So I try to stay and help comfort as best I can. I also need comfort right now, as this is my second biopsy for throat cancer, and I am sure scared, just like you are with the RSD. None of our conditions are easy to live with. Pain is no fun. I actually do have a prayer list and I do pray every night for those souls on my mind. I keep the names and conditions, in a Noahs Ark Tin, that I have next to my PC. If I forget, I can then look up each persons name and condition. In this manner I try real hard to comfort those that need a good thought their way. Thanks everyone. I feel better already. Did the blood work yesterday hope it all comes back okay. I just hate all this ..! That's how I think I get myself in trouble I act as if nothing's wrong. I really just have to start thinking of myself more and take better care i.e. gym, eating habits, rest etc. I actually slept for 6 hours straight last night. When you sleep properly it makes such a difference, I think I even had a dream. That topic has come up, about people with RSD don't dream, the reason we never get into that deep sleep.

We have about 3 inches of snow already. This will be the first time our new puppy goes in the snow it should be a riot. He's an 85lb, 10mth old American Bull Terrier,Pit Bull, and a tad of Great Dane he's so strong it's unbelievable. But he's a sweatheart and just a big mush. We just love him. We had to put our white shepard of 11 years down this past June what a heartbreak.

So glad to hear that you are feeling better. I hope everything goes well on Monday and that it was just a bad flare because of the stress. It's so hard to balance the idea that you need to push through the pain and try to be as normal as possible with the idea that you have RSD and need to take care of yourself. It's easy to SAY that we need to do this...but the reality is so much harder to live with.

I used to dream ALL the time and they were always such vivid dreams. I rarely dream now except for a bout of violent nightmares early last year when I was also suffering from hallucinations and taking meds that put me OUT for most of the day. Now I feel blessed to just get 4 hours of consecutive sleep...which is a rare occurance but has become possible since the doctor started me on Amitriptyline. Before that I was lucky to get an hour at a time. I think the more regular sleep has contributed to my success with regaining a lot of function...so I am with you in thinking that getting a good night of consecutive sleep can make a big difference.

I don't think I could deal with a dog that large. Mine is 5 lbs and she seems like a handful at times. Prior to the RSD I only weighed 85 lbs...so that dog is as big as I was...lol! Very sorry to hear that you had to say good bye to your shepard...that is truly heartbreaking when we have to say goodbye to our puppies.

I am feeling better and trying to take care of myself and trying to keep stress free.

It was quite an experience walking him in the snow for the first time. He was leaping like a dear, I think he thought if he jumped he would find a spot with no snow. He was hard to handle.

Hey gabby I read your post about your doggie.I also have a Pitt , bulldog , and a italina mastiff mix.she is my world.the smartest dog I've ever been around and has been the best therapy of all for me.her name is roxxy.just had to tell u . Hope you are doing well swetty

Good to here from you.Wow, pitbull, mastiff mix she must be huge.Dogs are the best medicine I agree. I have to tell you I really hesitated to get the pit bull mix but so happy we did. We wanted to go the rescue way because there is so much going on with abuse of animals at least we could do are part in some way. Most rescue facilities have many pit bull mixes. When we first met him he was 6 months and very friendly, the trainer there did a great job training him. So we decided okay, let's do it. After the formalities at the shelter, I say formalities but they really checked us out. It was a manitory 4 business day wait until you could pick up the puppy. They called our vet, our animal control in town to make sure we renewed our prior dogs license each year and then they give him a bath, nails and he was ready to go. He is 14 months old now, he goes for a check up next month I'm sure he's 100lbs, and he is so happy and thinks he's a lap dog. Can still jump a good 4 feet in the air like he's 10lbs. He is so strong and muscular I have never seen a dog like this, he has those great dane long legs he's amazing. Pitbulls are a great bread but I'm learning it's the way they are treated. You can see they have a sense of meaness but only if provoked. He's a great dog and we just love him so much. He is definitly a Mamas boy also and I love it.

Maybe you can give me a suggestion. He still jumps up on people when they come in the house or we see neighbors outside walking, he's not mean or anything but he is so big I can see it gets annoying to people. But he really is only getting excited and we have tried everything to get him to stop. Any suggestions?

Wow gabby, your dog sounds amazing.my dog is disciplined to an extent.but when someone is in my house and try's to leave , my dog goes crazy cause she doesn't want u to leave.also every ups truck or fed ex truck she can hear a mile away and goes nuts.she knows that's who brings her food and treats.my advise is pet smart .they have a training program there that is really helpful and fun for both you and your new family member it's once a week and it's at your local pets art store .u are there the whole time with your dog and other dog owners and the dogs get to interact with each other.I think they start out at about 10 or 12 weeks old.if u are up for it I think you would like it .I'm glad to here you are feeling better .ttys , they
