My pain levels are way up at the moment (weather much cooler and rainy, thanks Earth ) and I'm feeling pretty bad generally with everything....earlier I thought a stupid thought and it made me smile, and helped a tiny bit in that silly way only random stuff can...

My stupid thought was:

Why, when my cats are washing, do they stop and look me in the eye before doing that cat thing of slinging their leg over their shoulder and washing their unmentionables? They both do it. Weird. Wrong.

If anyone else has a random, distracting, funny thought, it would be great if you could share it. I need a few smiles

My kids are all canine, they do very similar things. I agree that they are aware of their bodies and how we perceive some of their behaviors. At the very least, they do recognize when we are paying attention to them. That is a given. I like to watch mine when they sleep and love their sleeping noises. This is my guy, Rudi Jalisco. He is very emotional and sensual for a dog. He makes the most awesome noises when he stretching and yawns, these long high pitched releases of slumber. Hoping this photo of Rudi sleeping, at least makes you smile. Soft hugs, Sylvia

Do hope you feel better Bram! My pain level is high today too. Shouldn't be weather though for me. I'm in Phoenix, AZ, USA and it is 107, I guess that's about 42 celsius. It's dry but storms and humdity are moving in.
Well, I went from that to the 68 degree (20 celsius) in the Doctor office and maybe that change made it hurt.

Thanks AzDi BTW, it's the barometric pressure changes that cause the pain spikes - and if you've got storms and humidity on the way, the pressure will be dropping down to your boots

My kitten is now 8 weeks old. When he was about three weeks just watching him try to walk was funny. When he did find his feet, he ran, and has not stopped since. Cats are wonderful, and they produce smile from us even when they use you for a chew toy. My older cat, now cleans the kitten, enjoying ever single minute. Already miss bottle feeding him. That didn't last very long at all. ginnie
