I Had Two Facet Blocks L4-l5 Several Years Ago For Excruciating Lower Back Pain. It Hurt Badly But For Just For A Few Seconds Really, And I Have Never Had That Pain Again. I Do Have To Do Some Exercises But Even When I Am Not Compliant In That Department, The Pain Is Tolerable. So I Am A Fan Of The Facet Block. My Caution Is Make Sure It Is Done In A Hospital Where They Do Them Every Day. You Do Not Want Someone Messing Around Your Spine. Joan

no i was not sedated at all. they wanted to know when they 'hit the spot'. and i knew when they did ... like i said, it was painful but only for seconds and then it worked so well, i cannot complain. i would have it again if i had to, but i would not be happy ... ha! i got up from the table and walked out with my back pain gone. let me know how you make out. joan

Deb, I have had them 3 times and they helped immensely. I had them with no anesthetic awful so I am glad you will have it. THey were almost unbearable for me. But worth the results. Good luck.!
