Default Primary Doc

Well this morning I went to my primary doctor..My level high, using my cane today..My bloodpressure high.145 over 100...he said I really need to keep a eye on that..I also spoke about my weight gain..It sucks..Asked me if I am walking any better??Ya right..I wish..Its so hard.I spoke to him about my PM doctor..He was shocked, but said try to look at it as though I was in his shoes waiting on people complaining all day about this pain, that pain, and trying to figure out who is abusing meds. and was is not..Which I guess I can understand he is human too..I just hope his outlook changes. He told me to hang in there until I get this stimulator and see how things go..

Sorry you are having a high pain day today moosey. Definitely keep an eye on that blood pressure, but it could be higher because your pain level is up. I try to give drs the benefit of the doubt because I know I am a complicated case BUT, if the dr cannot handle patients complaining about their pain to him all day, then he shouldn't be in pain management.

I hope I can find a new, good PM dr soon. I am searching for one.

I think you are right about these doctors..I feel the doctors do not know as much as we do,when it comes to RSD...Good luck finding a good one.I feel like during the 1st 3 and a half years I was just pushed around..meds,.ect..

High BP is normal when going to the doctor...for anybody. Mine skyrockets only when i'm at the doctor. I take mine at home and it's perfect. The nurse calls it the white-coat Syndrome ( white coats.....what doc's wear). It was a waste of a drip to the doc.

As long as your BP is ok when your NOT at the doc don't worry about it.

When you get home put your feet up. Lay down with your feet higher than your head. Did you go to your Dr right after work? If so that might be why your BP was high. If your PM dr is being a jerk get a new one that listens. I finally found one that listens myself. I will pray you feel better soon. I know how hard this disorder is.

its been high every day this week..I have been taking it 2 to 3 times a day.I had a new med. on Tuesday, broke out in hives, and no sleep..ever since I have felt terrible and high BP..I also went off 1 med..But I am wondering if the Celebrex is bothering my BP..I noticed last Friday when I went to PM..I was a little high, but he did not say anything. Then when I went to primary doctor he was concerned..stress and pain do not help...
I sure hope you feel better too.Hopefully we all can find some better doctors..

Laying down with your legs elevated higher than your heart is good to decrease edema in the lower extremities, but it elevates blood pressure.

Hey Moosey2me,
Im sorry your having a rough time, I know how that goes going thru it myself. One thing Ive noticed is when your (or my) pain is high my bp goes up & stays up til the pain levels out, is under control or pain meds do their job then my bp starts going back down, mine usually runs low & sometimes Ive actually had the opposite happen when Ive been in the hospital for example in extream pain & my bp has dropped super low confuses the hell out of the nurses lol but screws me cuz they wont give me my pain meds if Im too low one of the many joys in having this lovely condition
As for your pm doc screw him find a new one I know easier said than done but they shouldn't be in the job if they don't want to help people I understand wanting to make sure they are only giving meds to the people who need them that's great but if they aren't treating you right find a doc who will, not as easy I know but hang in there might take time but you'll find the doc you need & get the help u need as long as you keep pushing & til then we are all here if u need us Not trying to speak for anyone just going off everyones posts but can say for sure Im here if u need me
feel better soon hun
Heidi
