Oh no
![]() Nanc, Vrae and Zook and anyone else coping with a flare at the moment: hang in there. It will ease off eventually. I have to keep telling myself that ![]() Oh it's just so hard to find any positive thinking when you are just pain. When even being still hurts, but moving about hurts more. Rock and hard place, over and over again. Damn tooting pile of crud. Come on you researchers and drug companies and doctors - find a blinkin cure/effective treatment for us poor fleckers out here living with this thing every single day of our lives... We deserve a break! I have a challenge for us - to find a smile today, and share it with the rest of us ![]() Take care of yourselves everyone, and do the R&R thing ![]() Bram.

Hope you guys are doing better today. My hip and leg pain has eased up, thank goodness. But other places are not letting me forget about them...like I would be able to. My front incision is breaking out and really itching again and I don't know why...I haven't put anything on it. It hurts too. I woke this morning with a migraine, it has eased up now.
Bram - my husband says that his job is to make me smile or laugh everyday. And no matter how bad I feel, he succeeds. When I crack that smile or laugh, he says "I have done my job for the day!" I am lucky to have him! I just read something on Facebook that a friend posted...she said that an older lady told her that when she was young, the kids used to say - be true to your teeth or one day they will be false to you...I chuckled! Maybe it will give you a smile ![]() Hugs to all, Nanc ![]() |

Nanc.....
![]() ![]() Very good!! Thank you. My chuckles came when I had a very short game of table tennis with my husband....I was playing so badly lol, and he just kept taking the mick out of me until I could hardly stand for giggling. Bless him, and bless the table tennis set we bought for less than a fiver ![]() Hope your day is better. Bram.

Ladies,
I'm sorry you are all having such a rough time. I hope you are all feeling at least a wee bit better soon. My smile for the day We have an older dog. I recently bought a set of steps to help her get onto and off the sofa without having to jump. We set them up this weekend. She was a bit suspicious at first but she is greedy, so we got over that easily enough. Well, we have two sofas. She went over to the one my husband was sitting on and pawed at it. She then went over to the steps, which were sitting next to the other sofa, and pawed at the steps. Then she went back to the first sofa, the one she wanted to sit on and pawed that again. She finished off by giving my husband a look (demand stare, maybe?). I don't think she could have been more clear about what she wanted. She is just so adorable and I love her to bits! She always makes me smile. |

Bram - glad you were able to play with your husband (hmmm...sounds dirty) and have a good laugh.
Kim - great dog story, thanks for sharing! We do not have any pets, but my parents have this cute morkie (maltese and yorkie mix) named Molly. She lets you know what she wants too. She is trained to use those puppy pads and when she does number 2, she demands a treat. She will come into the room and moonwalk...she kicks her feet back and walks backwards and then looks at you like "where's my treat?" If you ignore her, she does it again! So funny! I think I spoke too soon...legs are really bothering me again ![]() Good thing is that my husband is home today, snow day. So that has been nice ![]() |

Hi I am sorry for your pain. I can really relate to you. We had negative temps and then I traveled for a doctors appointment out of state by plane. I did not sleep the whole time away. I also have issues with laying down because my calf presses on the bed.
Sorry to go on. I hope you can find relief asap and can remain hopeful. Just try to take it day by day. I understand it is hard. |

That's a great story!! Funny! I have a funny one too. We have two tiny Japanese Chin dogs (Yin & Yang) and a German Shepherd / Husky named Alpha. We have a backdoor that has a screen door that has a doggie door in it. It's been cold, so I had let them outside for a bit and only left the backdoor slightly cracked to try and keep the cold out but leave enough room for them to push their way in. A gentle push is all that was needed to fully open the backdoor and come inside. The Chin dogs were back inside in no time. They're tiny and don't like the cold. Then Alpha dog pokes his head through the doggie door flap, which has a magnetic strip on the bottom of the flap so it's now sticking up/open to the backdoor which is metal. The backdoor is open enough that with the flap stuck up/open from the doggie door I can CLEARLY see his face looking at me in the kitchen while doing a few dishes, and he's whining, as if to say please open the door more and I'll come in. All I could do was laugh! Here's this BIG Alpha dog (in every sense) who won't give a little nudge of the door to come on in. The Chins had no problem with it. But no, no, no ... you come open this all the way up for me. It was silly. ![]()

Vrae, that is so funny. Thanks for sharing that story. It has given me a good chuckle and left me with a smile on my face.
Where would we be without our pets, eh? |

Friday I went for my post op appointment, everything looks so much better. Just gonna take time for the pain to go away in the areas where the batteries were located. He gave me the name of a PM dr to call (since I am looking for a new one) and I am waiting for them to call me back since the girl who answers the phone did not know if he helped patients with RSD. I went to my PCP and the store that day also, did really well. Saturday got a haircut and went to grocery store. Sunday all hell broke loose with this frickin RSD/CRaPS. My face flared big time, my legs and feet did too. I am having new pain in my left foot that is bringing me to tears. We have bad weather coming again and that isn't helping. When, oh when, will I catch a break??
I have said it many times, and will say it again, thanks for listening and being here...you guys are all so awesome! Nanc ![]() |
