Sorry you've had such a tough time of it, moosey. You finally got "the good stuff" and not only it didn't help, it's made things worse. That's a tough spot to be in.

Did you get hives that blistered or did you get spontaneous sores ? In all my years of oncology then hospice, I've never seen that kind of allergic reaction to morphine. Just what you DON'T need on top of RSD !

I hope that you feel better soon.

Hey Vrae,
I've got gauze & perscription antibiotic mouthwash all the things I need & I actually am a certified Dental Assistant & Dental Lab Tech, I used to make the teeth after working chairside a number of years but liked the lab side of things better was actually going back to become a dental hygenist when I got the RSD almost 10yrs ago. So I know my dental (I dont mean to sound rude in anyway plz dont take it as such) I miss working in the field but the problem Ive had due to RSD is all my teeth are basicly rotting from the inside out so nothing I can do to even prevent it I used to have such beautiful teeth now they are falling apart tooth by tooth I am so embarrassed to even smilie now cuz half of my front teeth are broke or gone to gum line it's so maddning... But thank u so much for the suggestions they are great vrae I really do appreciate it so much I hope your feeling good & So glad to hear your injections went well I'm so happy for you! I know they are scary but if they help u that's what matters.

It saps your strength and energy and hope, but those things will return, and you'll smile. Honest

I'm regaining them after my month of hell, and you will too. Just look after yourself, eat well, and don't be afraid to ask those around you for help with the little things.

Take care, and remember you're never alone.

So sorry Moosey,

I agree with Bram..This is a painful experience that will pass... . I also have developed miserable reactions to morphine, methadone, demerol and some of the other pain meds, but morphine and methadone are the worst. It does take time for our bodies to stop reacting and to reorient... I had to keep calming myself to remember that it was a time limited event and distractions were the best way to cope, and now NT, to share and receive care. You are not alone, and thanks for sharing this.

We wish you speedy healing..

Hana

Good to hear you more cheerful moosey

I'm doing ok thanks, Just had a slight blue patch yesterday when hit with the realisation that my 'well' is never going to be the 'well' other folk refer to, and that kind of gets you down off the high peak of 'thank goodness for that, I'm actually feeling more human again!'... I'm glad to just feel better than I did though....much better than that!

Hope today is a better day for moosey

Bram.

Hi Bram, Sorry you've been blue... and, I'm with you, that when we change our thoughts and the wording a bit we can help ourselves feel better.Years ago I thought life was fair and we got what we deserved ... That was a very hard fall... I labeled myself, and my thoughts and emotions followed suit. When I changed my way of thinking from the years of "cure" and "well" ---something unobtainable (in this moment), to heal and better I was relieved too. All of the years of stressing do not help our conditions. I realized that living in the now with gratitude for what I do have is my only salvation. Now I find the spot on my body that doesn't hurt and hang out there for awhile...
In fact, I'm ready for my hangout.

My heart is with you all and l and pray today brings relief ...
