Default Update on surgery(gallbladder )

Well,I tried to be patient and no get pain ,but pain gets me no matter what,I even ask my gastroenterologist for a different pain medication to control any flare up,I never took more than 1 tablet of narcotic pain killers before,Sunday changed that after all,so much pain, surgery was last Tuesday I guess my body by Saturday get rid off all the anesthesia and Sunday hits me so bad such a pain on each of my incision sites including the old ones, gosh! Never felt so bad before, still today I feel the pain real bad, everywhere,Wednesday is my follow up ,just to check everything is normal,I called my md many times, according to him pain in the neck and head is normal, muscle spams actually, body ache, and with the rsd is normal after all,so far still pain the muscle spams are gone, thanks Lord, the body aching still there for some moments get worse ,than ,after a while, I'm kind ok,I did not mention to him sour taste in my mouth, kind of bitter metal taste,I assuming all the acid is not longer process in the gallbladder so my stomach is paying the price, well my mouth,is not acid reflux at all, something else,I manage to controlled by brushing my mouth and rinse as well with biotene, work ok for now,ate plenty jello, some talenti gelato, actually, lots of gelato, can helped, like it a lot,but Wednesday I will tell him,my pain management app is on Thursday ,I don't want to mix things up,my rsd is work injury related I guess if I show up with a lots of pain my md will blame only the new surgery no the problem his surgery already gave me,pain in my butt literally !! yes still dealing with that after all,so I'm hoping that he retires soon so I can switch dr soon, last two visits I saw a different dr ,to me ,and for what I already experienced ,his techniques and treatments are more updated than my dr but because of the pending iMe report can't do anything,so I have to see him still, but if he doesn't try to treat my pain on my "non rsd leg, buttocks and hip pain" I will still request my lawyer to switch md after all I'm just looking for the best medical treatment, and i tried to keep it control but gallbladder problem changed all the views, damm, was not prepare for that still wondering how this happened, but so far like I said I tried to control pain, flare ups,hot flushes and all kind and type of discomfort, but pain sometimes doesn't understand any reason at all, only thing I can do is fight back :mf_sword-fight sometimes i thing fight has nonsense but after a moment of relaxing and see what's ahead I change my mind and pick up my sword and fight back, hope you guys keep doing the same, even when you feel down with no reason to go on,just try again, and again, and again, soon will be over or at least ok.
Thanks so much for your concerns,I really missed you all and appreciate all your messages, hope your days turning at least ok soon, and as always blessings to all ,from Jesika

The first few weeks after surgery were the hardest for me. It's been three weeks today since mine. I went through what you're going through Jesika. But when before I have any surgeries I see my pm dr to get approval to get extra pain meds that my surgeon prescribes for the extra pain I feel after the surgery. From past experience of the last three surgeries I've had, I take an extra two pain pills a day for about two weeks then I wean back to four a day as prescribed by my pm dr. Some surgeons don't realize that people with rsd have more pain from surgery then people without. At least that's how it is in my case. So before I have any surgery, I let the surgeon know that I will need extra pain meds for a few weeks. (I make sure to get permission from my pm dr first though). Maybe you should ask your pm dr and then your surgeon if they can do this for you. It makes healing alot easier. I'm sorry you're in so much pain. My gp dr told me today after I showed him the picture of my gallbladder filled with stones that it would take me months to recover because of all the stones I had. He said that may be why I feel nauseas still and have heartburn still and pain. But I also told him that it is because it is aggravating my rsd too. Anyway, I'm finally having less heartburn and nausea (at least for the past three days) and am back to four pain pills a day so hang in there Jesika. I don't handle morphine well and asked not to have any after my surgery. Percocet works better for me.
You just have to make sure you wean off of the extra amount you're taking in a few weeks time so that you don't get dependent on it. I hope that maybe your dr can help you with the pain. My pm dr said that if you don't have the pain under control, the rsd gets aggravated and that's not good. So maybe tell your surgeon that but make sure you get permission from your pm dr first. I will pray that you feel better soon. With love, Renee.

Well the covering pm dr not my actual dr he is in medical leave since January after my scs generator was repositioned and he has not come back jet but the covering dr even suggested to my gastroenterologist dr what med can work for me,usually for pain I take tramadol and meloxicam he added Tylenol 3 the one with codeine,I normally don't take control drugs,so far patches and those meds work well plus scs but with the surgery my pain increased quickly and he call my pm dr right after the surgery so I didn't leave without a second treatment just in case,my pain gets control for now with the combination of Tylenol 3 and tramadol at course not together but I don't expect to take it for long,my follow ups are due soon so I hope by Friday the pain at least the sharp pain gets control than the rest my scs and meds combo will be ok,know my old problem, the old packet site on my buttocks still kicking me hard, for that no treatment or combo had been working so we spoke a new treatment to follow but he recommended after at least two weeks apart from the gallbladder removal surgery,if my dr comes back he might change the treatment,I hope he stay in his home, relaxing and let the covering dr doing his job,I like the new dr better so Friday for sure I will know what's ahead, thanks,I keep saying that without you I will not know what's normal or what is not,I really appreciate all your help,I will keep you posting and hope you get well soon too, blessings as always, your friend Jesika

I'm glad your drs are trying to help you find the right meds to control your pain. And if you can stay away from controlled drugs, you're better off, if you ask me. I wanted to let you know too that if your dr hasn't given you that breathing tube yet, and you're still having trouble breathing, try breathing in through your mouth really slow and long and then exhale. That's basically what the breathing tube helps you to do. But if I were you I would still check with dr if you still have breathing problems just to make sure you're okay. I'm sure you are, but I think it's better to have a dr check you out. I will hope you have a painfree night tonight and feel even better tomorrow. Sincerely, your friend, Renee.
