Thanks, I find it interesting, similarities. I had celiac symptoms for 20 + years but no one discovered it. Till finally by mistake, sort of, it was caught.

I am sorry for your RSD and Celiac. Yeah I am very used to it by now, but I do drool over some things still. It minor compared to so many other things we deal with.

I TOO got RSD from a very minor surgery to my left knee. I can barely even call it that, they did a scope and found nothing but inflamation. No surgery/repairs just a LOOK SEE and, now 25 plus years later, still dealing with RSD there and other sites/limbs.

I do believe there is autoimmune condition underlying /crossover with RSD/Celiac. Maybe one day they will figure it all out.
I had a good GF cookie the other day!!! I try to eat as healthy as possible but now and then a girl needs a treat.

thanks for your reply....

have a great day.

I was diagnosed with coeliac disease about 7 years ago, at the age of 35. I'd been ill for a few years with gastro issues, but my GP refused to treat my problems seriously, did the blood tests at the wrong time, etc. Finally got there. I'm mostly used to it now, although my kids still laugh at how I smell the stuff I can't have, like a lovely fatty doughnut...mmm

I got CRPS 4 years ago after a minor knee operation. Since then the fun times have just been never ending. As you all know. Lol.

Good luck all.

Bram.

I guess now that I've regained such a significant portion of my health, having celiac isn't that big a deal to me. Of course, when I was diagnosed I thought it was the end of the world. It's actually been 2 1/2 years, not 1 1/2 years since I was diagnosed. I guess time just slipped away from me.

Cookies sound good. Baking was always one of my favorite hobbies and I'm glad I've learned to do it again. At the farmer's market I'm a vendor at, 4 booths down is a bakery that makes macarons which are naturally gluten free. I always indulge in one a week. It's heavenly. Today was salted caramel. I always close my eyes to better enjoy it, I probably look like some kind of freak. Which is really high on my list of couldn't care less.

Adelaide

A fellow foodie too, I do the same thing. Close my eyes if eating something wonderful to taste it better. Anything coconut is good to me. Add chocolate and BLISS! Salted caramel...be still my heart. I had to close my eyes thinking about it.

I like your "couldn't care less" made me lol.

2. If you have both, which came first, chicken or the egg..lol?

3. When in your life span, was your Celiac diagnosed?

I feel like there is definitely a connection between the two. I have both.

Thanks

I found last year i am allergic to alot of foods, pork, rice, apples, peaches, whole milk, eggs(sensitive) , gluten sensitivite. Potatoes give me headaches. The list is amazing. So gluten is just touching it because most gluten foods are made with rice.

Count me in !! I was recently diagnose with celiac ,I had some gluten intolerance but few months changed to a bad allergy reacting and was hard on me but having rsd means anything else isn't as bad ,rsd keep being the worse ever ,education will be always the key and hope to learn quick,. I still made mistakes and are trying to be real careful about what and how I eat ,is hard but I'm keeping my best attitude ,do are my family, they follow my diet as well and helps when temptations are not too close to you, lol.
Hope soon be able to control and know my triggers ,that's the key ,know your triggers !!!!
Best wishes to all ,Jesika .

Default CRPS and Autoimmune

My daughter was diagnosed with CRPS/RSD 3 years ago. The flare ups come and go. I have never tested her for celiac but I know my daughter has autoimmune deficiencies. I am starting her on a gluten free diet to see if the reduction in gluten reduces the flare up. I am using Derma Mag lotion to treat her pain and it has helped.

That's interesting - my daughter was diagnosed with RSD about 3 years ago, and we're now looking into gluten-types of problems because of her constant diarrhea. She had C-diff last September, but that resolved (and the diarrhea is of a different type). She's in the middle of a bunch of tests now.
