Hi Everyone,
I hope everyone is hanging in & having more good days than bad. I havent been on in some time now, I'm sorry I have been thinking of you all everyday so while I had the energy I wanted to drop in say hello & see how you all are doing. I myself have been fighting everyday with this massive infection but soon it should be all over, on sept 18th I finally go for surgery!!! I am working with a wonderful place Called Smile Faith they are covering most the dental cost & my mom & grandmother are covering the rest so I can get well at least as well as I am able to with RSD lol but I am both nervous & excited as time get closer, they are removing all my teeth opening gums scraping them out gettin any infection they are able to get stichin me up & putting in dentures so I mite not be on for a little while but please know all of you are always in my thoughts & prayers. I also want to thank those of you who have been there for me given me advice, moral support or just listend to my rants, from the bottom of my heart thank you wishing you all pain free days air hugs too all & I will soon post some pix of my new smile, a first for me a pic smilling that is lol love to all of ya talk soon.

Hi Heidi!! So great to hear from you! I've been wondering how you are. I am so happy for you that a resolution of this difficult problem is in sight. I can't imagine how crummy this chronic, infection has been making you feel, on top of CRPS and epilepsy. This won't be easy but in the end you will have a happy smile :-)
Wishing you wellness ~Lottie

Wishing you all the best Heidi!! No easy thing that you are doing. I too have been struggling with dental issues all summer in a big way when I had three extractions and I'm still trying to heal. Well, dental issues stem longer than that, but now I'm in a mess with my teeth. I was just quoted something like $4500. for another extraction, the surgery you speak of to get rid of the infection, bone graphing, and this doesn't include any teeth yet. So far my loss of teeth has been molars, so thank goodness that it's harder to see they're missing, but difficult to chew.
Anyway.. so yeah, $4500.. um... and I didn't even ask how much more with any sort of partial. I fear implants. Meanwhile, if I don't do something the infection continues to cause more and more damage to my gums, and tooth loss. This is such a tough ordeal on top of all the other pain or conditions we're dealing with. You're handling it like such a trooper Heidi! You are going to get the gums healed once and for all and feel SO MUCH better!

Heidi,
I've been through soooo many dental issues too. I can relate to what's happening to you! 2 yrs. ago I had my front lower teeth extracted (I only had 1 or 2 left in back. Many ordeals later I now have an implant supported lower denture. I almost forgot how to eat "normally". I'm sure in the future I'm in for more troubles with my upper teeth. It's so not fair, I've almost always had good dental hygene, no drugs (not that kind). My husband can eat candy before bed - then not brush, hardly ever flosses, used snuff in younger years & no problems ever! Well, keep us posted! Looking forward to your new smile!

I'm so sorry to hear of your dental issues on top of everything else but good for you for being brave and tackling it! Best wishes and prayers for a good surgery and a quick recovery. You're a good example to me - I've been avoiding the dentist for quite a few years ... I have major dental phobia.
Looking forward to your new smile |
