I thought you had mentioned sleep but then I couldn't see it in the other post Before getting on the right combo of meds I had major problems sleeping I tried Ambien for a while, which I advise against strongly. My doc eventually prescribed something with Melatonin that I had no side effects with Sorry--it's been years and I can't remember the name. I also found a CD that was to help put you to sleep by relaxing you, and that sucker worked like a charm. There are many versions out there. At what point I tried low impact yoga that seemed to help me relax, as well as learning to meditate and breathe deeply. You might also want to undergo a sleep study if you can't find meds and/or coping strategies that work for you. If you go without sleep for long enough, it becomes a vicious cycle and your body and brain really need rest!

I hardly sleep...my dr gave me ambien but said to only use it as needed and that he won't refill it. It works and I like it butidthinktheav rather find a way to sleep without meds esp if my dr won't refill it. Ive tried herbs and melatonin but to no avail. My mind just focuses on the pain while I'm laying in bed.

Do you have earbuds that are comfortable to lay on? I've tried this method several times but the earbuds were not comfortable. I even bought bedphones and they kept falling off....it sidetracks my attention but I still don't sleep lol

![]() Now I have a set of iHome earbuds from Kohls. They are comfortable for me while sleeping but the sound isn't quite as nice and the Sony ones I had before (but I'm not a snob about such things). One thing to note I guess is that I do have to change out the buds for the smallest ones so they are more comfortable (I have pretty small ears). I would make sure to try the different size buds that come with the headphones to try and get the best fit. They were also both the kids with the flexible, rubber buds...not the hard kind. I can NEVER get those kind to stay in my ears or be comfortable...the rubber ones mold to the shape of my ear and fit snugly as long as I have the right size bud in my ear. |

I am not at all a sound snob lol but I do sleep on my side so have constant pressure on the earbud....I'll look at target too...can't hurt to add to my collection. I also have a headband type thing that has built in headphones but they move away from my ear as soon as I fidgit....and I fidgit a lot since my surgery
