Do you have earbuds that are comfortable to lay on? I've tried this method several times but the earbuds were not comfortable. I even bought bedphones and they kept falling off....it sidetracks my attention but I still don't sleep lol

![]() Now I have a set of iHome earbuds from Kohls. They are comfortable for me while sleeping but the sound isn't quite as nice and the Sony ones I had before (but I'm not a snob about such things). One thing to note I guess is that I do have to change out the buds for the smallest ones so they are more comfortable (I have pretty small ears). I would make sure to try the different size buds that come with the headphones to try and get the best fit. They were also both the kids with the flexible, rubber buds...not the hard kind. I can NEVER get those kind to stay in my ears or be comfortable...the rubber ones mold to the shape of my ear and fit snugly as long as I have the right size bud in my ear. |

I am not at all a sound snob lol but I do sleep on my side so have constant pressure on the earbud....I'll look at target too...can't hurt to add to my collection. I also have a headband type thing that has built in headphones but they move away from my ear as soon as I fidgit....and I fidgit a lot since my surgery

I'm a side sleeper too...and normally I'm not bothered by having the earbuds in my ears. One thing I have done if my ear was bothering me was just put one earbud in and leave the other one out. It works for sleeping if the earbud out is the one on the side I am sleeping on...but not so much if it's reversed. Always better with both in for me. I would suggest trying different things too...different types of music or even audiobooks. The idea is that they're calming and distracting from the pain...which means that I fidget less (I'm prone to tossing and turning too). I usually start listening before I'm ready to fall asleep so that I'm already "in the zone" by the time I'm ready to lay down for sleep. Just be careful with books and don't listen to anything that will get you riled up or even anything new that you are SO into that you don't want to sleep...lol...that doesn't work so well for helping you sleep. I have a couple go to books that are among my favorites that I've either read or listened to before...so no big deal if I drift off and miss a bunch of it.
