Sometimes it helps me to put in earbuds for my ipod and either listen to an instrumental playlist I've put together that relaxes me or an audiobook...that can help me sleep or nap because it helps take my mind off the pain. I find it works better if I use the earbuds vs having it play on a speaker...drowns out my thoughts of the pain better. Doesn't always work...but more often than not it does help me sleep and even if I don't sleep...it helps me relax and rest.
