Let's hope it's not another whole year of testing, but ruling out other causes is important. Anything you can do to keep up strength, range of motion and flexibility without causing pain flare is great. Get in the pool, walk in the pool, swim laps, put some time in on the stationary bike or an elliptical. Exercise has made a huge difference for me in coming back from 3 foot surgeries and 9 months on crutches. It DOES help. This will address some circulation issues too. Don't feel bad if you start low, just keep at it. After my biggest operation I asked my surgeon at 3 weeks post-op if I could do five minutes on the bike and he said "mmmm, I'm not sure about that" So I asked for three minutes and he said okay. I think in reality I started with about two minutes. Ya gotta start somewhere!
