I call them 'good enough days'. the days when i feel 'good enough' to do some of the things i want or like. there are emotionally 'good enough' days and physically 'good enough' days and when they fall together .. it's like a party! there are no days without pain, but there are days it is tolerable and does not interfere. we are a different breed once we get rsd.
good thread. joan

Ok.. A good day for me is when I get enough "energy" to complete a task such as laundry, filling up my dishwasher, playing with my child, grandkids without me being in a lot of pain. (The pain is still there, but not much)

I would have to say a good day to me is when things seem easy to me, no struggling through anything the day brings me.

I cal them an 'ok day' & 'a not so ok day" . An ok day is when I don't have to take any break thru pain meds. I had one of those this week, on Wednesday. It was almost a shock to me when I realized it on Thursday. *LOL* My doc wants me to cut back on BTP meds this summer. Cause summer is usually when I have lots of 'ok days'/'good days'. So far this summer it hasn't been that great. It has been a cooler spring, altho they are saying this year is more normal couldn't prove it by me. I moved here to N CA in the fall of '99 & every spring has been HOT until this spring. I have been having a difficult time keeping my feet/ankles in a comfortable temperature range. They are mostly cold when I am sweating everywhere else like a race horse.
I need to go take a either a shower or a nap *LOL* DebbyV |

I can't seem to quite get through a whole day with no trouble but on a good day there will be no major pain flares and my mood will be good. I'll have a lot of energy and get several hours of light work done.
I always have to do what the hand says but some days it just wants to pitch in and do something. It rarely balks because of it I think, but like with everything connected to this, I just don't know. This is the best day I've had in months and I got six or seven hours of really good but mostly sedentary work accomplished. It feels good because I was born to work. |

Ah...I guess I'm "normal" after all though I was kind of wishing there might some day be the potential for pain free days. Oh well. At least it's nice to know we're all in the same boat. Thanks for your reassurance. Jeannie
