Default Is it just me or is night worse?

It seems to me like the pain is worse at night. I can do more in the morning with less pain. By the afternoon I get pain with simple things, and evening I get pain just sitting and at night it is at the worst.

For me it is often that way too. Part of it for me is that at night...when I'm trying to sleep...there's just me and the pain. The pain overtakes my thoughts and I feel it more intensely. During the day I have stuff I want to do and other things to think about...so it's easier to focus on that other stuff and the pain (while still there) gets pushed aside a little. As the day goes on...the pain starts getting louder and louder until I can't focus on stuff anymore...then at night it screams at me. But...if I am able to get some sleep or at least rest...I start the next day with lower pain levels and we go through the whole cycle again. I usually start my days with a baseline of 6 on the pain scale and the pain on a "normal" non-flare up day gets to about an 8 by the end of the day. Flare-up days are a whole other story...but this is how it usually is for me. I find that having the tv on (tuned to something I can easily block out like HGTV) or some music or an audiobook (one that I have heard before) can help sometimes because they give me another thing to focus on besides the pain and it's just enough (during good days of which I have had none in the last few months) to let me fall asleep and get the rest I need. Right now there are other things keeping me from sleeping and I oh so very much want to get back to that normal routine because pain is SO much easier to deal with when your body and mind can get the rest they need.

I pretty much watch TV every night until I can keep the pain at bay enough to pass out.

Default After 5- I'm done

yup. Night is the worst. I take sleep aids so I can sleep. Also soaking in epsom salt helps calm my nerves.

Hope you have some tolerable evenings in your future!
