Default I'm here every Day!

Hey Allen,
I stop by every day to read the posts. I don't post as much as I used to, but I think of everyone all the time. I was looking at your myspace page just yesterday. I finally got to meet Dana. She came to our home for about 3 hours and we had a nice visit. I have known Dana since 1999 or early 2000, and have talked with her on the phone. When we went to Maui, I almost got over to Honolulu to visit, but Deb and I talked with her for over an hour on the phone instead. She is the first person I have met from the RSD forum. We had a great time visiting. I hope all is well for you.

Hey Bro!

I was just lookin at your myspace page too LOL. I like the way you use it to promote. My page has kinda turned family since my wife has finally decided to learn how to use the PC and internet. Been thinkin of creating another to use just for promoting a product, now just to find the product lol.

Man the islands! That is one place I havent been, and would love to go. My wife wont fly so im on my own everytime I travel somewhere we cant drive to lol. I think of Dana all the time. She is so supportive, I miss having my good buddy online. If you happen to hear from her let her know ive been thinkin of her.

I am just waitin on the letter from the SSDI hearing, an approval would really improve my outlook on life. Wouldnt cure me, but definately would be a step in a different direction from what has been the experience the last few years.

I hope all is well with you too bro
Good to hear from ya

Smile I hear from Dana and Pat (if it is the right Pat)

Hi Allen.

I wanted to let you know that I keep in contact with Dana and Pat...the Pat that was “Sorti” from the old boards. Was that the Pat you were asking about?

Anyway....I email back and forth with both of them. Pat has lots going on now, and is trying new and different treatments for her RSD that had just gotten horrible. I am happy to say that she is starting to do much better!

Dana is doing OK too. She has had a kinda rough year this past year, but she is OK. Like Condor said, she has been to the Main Land not so long ago. She seems to have survived the trip back and forth well. I haven’t been able to hear from her since I got back from my own trip just last week (went with my son to help him get settled in at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Prescott, AZ. LOL, sorry! I just had to brag a little bit...), but I did get an email from her while I was traveling. This is really the first time that I have been able to have some time to do some responding on the computer since....well...since Aug 19, when we left for AZ. I know that she got super busy dealing with all kinds of stuff, and didn’t have time or energy to come to the forum and read, let alone respond. I think that she has fallen out of the habit now. When I send her my email today, I will be sure to let her know that you were asking about her. Same with Pat, too.

Sorry that I can’t help you with the two Debbie’s. I haven’t been able to keep in contact with Gigglebabe, although I know that she had signed in here after the page got started up. Since that was a year ago, that isn’t much help, is it? LOL. Same with the other Debbie from CA. She used to pop in or on line occasionally (we had swapped Yahoo screen names a while back), but when she comes here, I think that she mostly lurks, and I think that her visits are getting longer and longer apart again. I know that the last time that I saw her posting here, she was trying to get a hold of Mark. Maybe he has more info about her, if you know how to get a hold of him? I haven’t seen where he has posted here in a little bit, too.

Anyway.....I hope that helps? Sorry that I couldn’t tell you more about all of those folks. I hope that the missing Debbies are doing well. I hope that YOU are doing good too! You are one big ol’ sweety pie, for asking about missing members! You know that is what lots of us “old timers” think, right? LOL

Love and
Jose

Default Aloha!

Hey Allen, buddy....pal, I'm here. All accounted for.

So I don't have to post twice, I read your other post just now on SS. I'm so freaking relieved that you've finally prevailed in court. I am going to do the "happy dance." Hula?

Yes, I made my 1st trip to "America"...since 2000. A dear friend of mine had been sick for a couple of years. They moved off island and then only two months later he suddenly passed away. I just couldn't miss the memorial as we were like family. So being close to my girlfriend during this most difficult time was most important.

But....there were many highlights of my trip. At the top of the list was seeing my Father. I haven't seen him in 4 years...since they finally sold their home on Maui. And, of course meeting Stephen and Deb...geez, talking with another person who has RSD is just amazing. There was no doubt that Stephen understood me and visa versa. I know that we've been friends for many years, but this took the cake. Next of course, was the shopping in Oregon as there is no sales tax....yipee! And boy did I shop. I even had to start sending things home so I wouldn't be overweight as Oregon was my 1st leg of my trip. lol. Condor and Deb are delightful and I especially loved their precious pup "Bo" who embellished me with all the kisses I needed until I got to my next stop which was my Dads. I missed my Babies soooo much Bo and the hospitality of Stephen and Deb were exactly what I needed. I will never forget the vision you guys looking out and seeing the tall tree's. I love Oregon...Quack...Quack. Sorry.

Jose, we have some catching up to do. I'm glad that you are home safe and sound from your jaunt to college with your son. I sure do hope that upon your arrival back home that things are still in one place as you left them, the animals, especially Oscar.

I do keep in touch with mostly everybody you've mentioned. Recently heard from Deb3674 as we were actually going to try to meet up when I stayed in San Fran, but she's actually further south then I was, and my time-schedule just ran out.

Gigglebabe, my buddy and dear friend. She is doing well considering, like us, been dealing with the ups and downs of RSD. Let's see if I have this right, her eldest graduates this year and the youngest next year. Hmmm. My memory is awful...I blame it on the topomax and the oodles of other crap I take. laffs.

In any event, Allen, about me, I'm still sitting here doing my Thang on our beautiful island. Come on by and see us sometimes. The water is grand. And if your wonderful wife doesn't like to fly like me, take a cruise. Ok, it's not cheap! But nothing is nowadays.

But, ask Condor where to stay he will tell you his favorite spot....and I will agree with him everytime anybody asks me. So don't dream...just surprise your lovely Wife with a Cruise...

Business is good here. I am still working part-time. We are still bringing in oodles of Mushrooms from the bay area of Cali.

I have been feeling ok. I too have my ups and downs. I have come to realization that life with RSD is just life with RSD. It ain't no picnic.

I stopped smoking while I was on the mainland. Tomorrow will be one month exactly. I'm very excited now to be a non-smoker. For those of you who want to know how...Chantix is the med. And the book I read was written by Allen Carr...who smoked 100 cigs a day.

Can I brag now? Can I? Can I? Condor and Emily's Gamma (aka Claudia) Quack...Quack...!!! Oregon Ducks..beat Michigan. #9 of the Oregon Ducks is my daughters boy friend. And I'm very sorry to anybody who is from Michigan, or from Houston..or Fresno (next game)...lol.

Anyways...isn't catching up grand? Allen, Condor, Jose and the rest of you oldies but goodies ...have a great day and maybe I'll try to be a tad more active.

With aloha,
Dana.

Deb and I really enjoyed our visit with Dana. We talked for about 3 hours. In that time, Dana brought up the D word many times. We do not say that word in our home, but since she was a welcome visitor we let it go. MY sister was a D, went there in the 70's. She does not say the D word around us unless she slips. To all you D fans, I say GO BEAVERS! It is very hot and sunny in Oregon today. Went on a picnic yesterday to the Columbia Gorge. Absolutely beautiful! Saw some of the biggest Salmon and Sturgeon we have ever seen at Bonneville Dam. Hope everyone is having a pain free day.

Default about Gigglebabe, but not much

I haven't actually had an update email from Gigglebabe, but now & then she sends me emails with pictures of her girls, so am assuming she is doing ok but hopefully well.

Tell ya what tho, I will try to email her in the very near future & see if I can get her to come to the new board here to let ya'll know how she is & what all is going on in her life. I know she is really really busy with her girls.

Keep on keeping on ya'll,
DebbyV
