It is also suposto help the burning pain and random shooting staby jabbys and it does to some extent.. but it realy helps the constant headaches alot, I take 50 in the AM and 50 in the PM.

(beware depressive thoughts though, as
with Gabipentin and Lyrica this type of
drug has been know to cause suicidal
thoughts and a more depressed mindset)
Thanks so much for the info! I decided to call my Doc and I will be taking 25mg in the morning and 50mg at night, then increasing to 50 in am then pm. Yes it does cause weight loss, I don`t mind too much because Neurontin turned me into a very BIG girl! I have already lost some of the weight I put on and am feeling much better. I was getting depressed about my weight gain more than anything else! I have been nauseous on Topamax (only bad side effect) but have gotten some very good ideas on how to handle that from some wonderful people on this forum. Topamax does help with the burning, pain and headaches. I had to go off of Neurontin and Lyrica because of the terrible swelling of my legs and ankles! I went off Elavil at the same time as neurontin because of chest discomfort and told the Dr. I wanted to try Topamax. (Read about it for RSD) As far as being suicidal with Topamax, I haven`t had any problems there, but I have wanted to beat my husband`s butt for leaving his sox on the floor! A little crabbier than usual maybe? He`s been doing this 11 years! Nothing new I guess! Anyway, thank you so much for your response. I really feel better reading it and knowing it`s been working pretty well for you!
Hope you have a good day and God Bless.
