I was just wanting to check on you to make sure you were ok and didn't suffer any damage in the storms yesterday. I saw pictures of the devastation on the news this morning and my first thoughts were of you and the kids. I do hope everyone is alright.

Janet,
We are all Ok here. ![]() ![]() ![]() Sheesh. But, I know that you know about these yucky and scary Tornados, from living in Arkansas. Do you all have the Nov/Dec twister season there, too? Anyways....we didn't have any Tornados that touched down in my part of the state. We were VERY lucky, as they were touching down in MS, and then lifting up and touching back down only a couple of counties to the east of me. What we DID deal with here was some pretty strong Straight Line Winds. We had some trees down, and some power outages (ground was/is saturated...some places here got 4+ inches of rain yesterday! I kid you not!!). That always happens when the ground is so wet and those winds come through....trees and power lines come tumbling down all over the place. I was lucky in that regard too; I didn't loose power! That is a Small Wonder in and of it's self, since I most always loose power if the wind blows crosswise here. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I was worried to death about Meghan, because the campus her classes are on just so happens to be in our town's version of "tornado alley". But...it was all good, and she was safe, and made it through her classes and back home again all in one piece. ![]() ![]() Again, thank you for thinking of us, and asking about us. I am sorry that I didn't get on here yesterday, because I would have answered you then. But, when the weather gets like it was/is, and the stupid barometric pressure is going all whacko jumping up and down and all around the place, and the temps are making drastic changes, and it is humidier than all get out...AND you add all of that all together, well...I do good to just be able to breathe and move around here to get done what absolutely HAS to be done because I hurt so friggin' bad ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Anyway..I am blabbering again. Sorry. Just wanted to let you know that we are all Ok, and to thank you for asking. We were very, very lucky this time. I hope that our luck holds out, as this is usually the time of year that hits my town the worst, tornado wise. ![]() Hope you are doing Ok? No weirdo weather for you there is Arkansas? Just COLD??? Yuck...I HATE Winter! Ready for Summer yet? ROFL..I am!! ![]() ((hugs)) Jose |

Hey Girl, yes we had a lot of rain 2 days ago as well.. i think Little Rock got 4 inches in 3 hours. We got 3 1/2 inches, and very high winds. About 40 miles from me there were 5 semi's that the wind blew over, and they were all pretty close together. It was a pretty scarey wind. We have the crazy weather here too.. Actually our weather is a lot lik yours. We was 70's Tuesday and then Wednesday we were in the 40's. Yesterday was low 50's and today is suppose to be 65, so i know what you mean about the aches and pains getting worse with all of the weather changes.
I am so glad that you and the kids were ok. If you are like me and it is storming, I worry so much about my kids, especially when I'm watching the weather for the town they both live in. We do have a lot of tornadoes this time of the year and we live right in tornado alley. It sucks. A few years ago it was in January, we had 60+ tornadoes in Arkansas in one night. The 2 people that got killed in my county I knew, and they were the first ones I thought of when they named the towns they lived in. That's what I hate about this continuous changing weather. 80's to 40's with lots of storms. I have to go back to the Dr today and she is going to have to do something about this break through pain. She put me on Cymbalta last week but so far I cannot tell any difference. I go home from work every day and cral under my blanket and stay there. Well I have to get some coffee in my system or I'll have a headache from hell..LOL Love Ya, Janet |
