Default yes

Just remember. The maximum size is 620X280 in pixels for attachments.

Avatars are 80X80 in pixels. Thats not real big, but if graphics were too large it would bog down the server and the entire site would become sluggish.

Bring er on!!!

Hey! I have 5 fur babies, a reptile baby, a teen baby, and a big boy baby. How in the heck do I choose which one of those to use as my avatar???? That's not fair! Not fair at ALL! If I had to make a collage out of them, they'd be so itty bitty you'd not be able to see any of them *sniffle*!

Default Caution: Grandmother With Pictures

since i'm assuming that most have seen my giraffe cane, i'll switch avatars....we seem to be doing pets right now, so i'll show off my trouper first.....i like the idea of revolving avatars.....just wait till i start on the grandsons!.....and that'll be easy with the triplets....i'll just post one pic and then every now and then, tell all of u that it's a different kid!

trouper was also a rescue dog.....he was abandoned as a 6-month old puppy....i hate thinking about that happening to him, but whoever the bums were, they did me a favor.....he's the best dog in the world.......sorry, all of u who have been thinking that YOU had the best dog, but the truth is that i do!

wow trouper is gorge.. I (hopefully) have a pic of baby girl up... she is so gorgeous and my darling.. she was a rescue dog 2 years ago and along with her bro moved in with us... (the adoption team were not pleased.... 2 alsations, 1 wheelchair user and 2 women - all under 5"2ft AND with 5 cats... but we got them!

lost fat pig to cancer, but still have Baby... when she first came she cowered everytime you went near her, howled constantly, peeed EVERYWHERE and had never been in a house before..

...but now is perfectly happy sleeping on my sisters bed with her, owns her very own pink jumper, red polo neck, black dress, hat and army jacket and leg warmers and is attached to my sister at the hip..

Rxxxx

(this thread is cheering me up = having a horrible time atm)

Default Trouper Rocks

What a beauty Trouper is Liz! You should be very poud! I just love stories of rescuing animals from mean people. I watch Animal Planet with my Roxie and my two other children Buffy and Q-Tip, both are adorable little felines and a little camera shy

And Frogga what a beautiful one you have there. Wow!!! So happy to know that this thread is helping to keep your spirits up when you are feeling kinda down. That was sorta the intent along with "marking our territory"

Well, my avatar doesnt really have a special story behind it... its just a plain ol picture of me haha

buuuuut since we seem to be talking about pets i feel the need to add my imput haha. I have two amazing dogs, and a few not so amazing cats. I'm actually pretty allergic to cats, but my sister got so attachted to them that when we found out i was allergic it would have been cruel to make them leave. My older dog, Mazy, is a black lab doberman german wirehaired pointer mix. Shes 11 and has epilepsy and cataracts and about 1,000 fatty tumors. She's senile, but we still love her. She was beaten by her previous owners when she was just a puppy, and then she devolped Mange, which is a parasite that makes all the hair fall out on your body. So we adopted a whimpering poor bald little puppy (but shes hairy and fat now, so dont feel tooooo bad) And then I also have a 2 year old Shih-Tzu/Poodle Mix, Lola. Shes a pain in the butt, but she has a little underbite that sticks out whenever she looks at you, so you cant be mad at her even if she did just eat your $170 Coach Tennis Shoes that you got as a Christmas present...........

Oh, and Mark. your photos are AMAZING. the first flower (is taht a lily of some sort?) is BREATHTAKING. I'm an amateur photographer myself, and i would die to be able to have access to beautiful flowers like that to take pictures of. I did however take soem pretty interesting pictures of dead trees today..... but i bet as soon as i go into the dark room they turn out icky hahaha

Mark you have a beautiful chow chow. they all make our lives a little more bearable don't they?
my girl is named iley. (like riley but without the r) we purchased her from some wonderful people who live north of us. after having to put my wonderful lab/golden mix down due to cancer earlier this year, my hubby decided he wanted another gsd on the farm. i still cry when i think of my other girl. she was the absolute best dog i have ever had. if iley turns out to be half as good i will be thrilled
i also have a 20 yr old cat. he's starting to slow down a bit now and tends to wheeze a little bit once in a while, but otherwise in pretty good shape.
frogga you have a very pretty alsatian. i'll bet she's a lot like my iley.
liz, your pup is a cutie. just keep himi away from the skunks. artist, is yours a beagle? he looks very content and probably rules the roost at your house.

i love all the avatars. but please excuse me if i messed things up. i'm not sleeping well and am ready to tear this cast off with my teeth if necessary. i don't know if i can stand 5 1/2 more weeks of this. i feel so cllaustorphobic !!!

hugs and prayers

hey farmwife

could you not have the cast split and then bandaged? thats what they do with mine? then I wear it as long as possible, take it off have a break and then it goes back on (although recently we have come to the conclusoin that casting is not good... - I used to have serial castings done).

Iley is gorge! baby girl/booboo (real name is Judy) is just such a baby... have to go home from uni this week - will try and get a better picture of her all dressed up in her hoodie and leg warmers (I know.. how anthropomorphic am I towards her?!) she is so nice when you are really sore... comes and lyes with you and stuff...

also have 5 cats (fred, tom, gaz, pussycat willum and isabel) and a bijon frise (alphred)...

LOL take care

Rxxxx

what is it about us that means we all rescue our animals? some weird mix with RSD? lol - intersting psychological view point - we all want to be "rescued" and feel that to restore karma to manage it we "rescue" things that we can? suggest an altruistic nature to people? lol. (i know im talking rubbish.. things are pretty bad atm for me).
