Default Back to serious - gross topic - hemmorhoids....

Okay, now it's my turn to be gross. I think we had a constipation topic last week, so this weeks topic is HEMMORHOIDS! If you recall, about a month ago my pain doc had me take 1000 mg's magnesium for restless legs/muscle spasms from the rsd. Because of that I had an ucky tummy. From the ucky tummy I got hemmorhoids. I had about 3 little ones, and my mommy told me to use prep H and they'd go away. Lo and behold, they did.

But...lo and behold, they have returned...but they aren't little now. They are about the size of small acorns. Okay, that may be TMI, but I'm sorry...I want you to know cuz I've never had these buggers before and dont' know if there's ever a time you are supposed to 'worry' about them.

Of course, they don't really bother me. I'm on fentanyl PLUS percocet 3x's a day, so they don't itch or hurt. They're just, well, in the way, if you kwim.

I've been using hte prep H, and also tucks (to clean and leaving them there) but they aren't going away). Like I said...they don't bother me like they would someone who probably isn't on pain meds. But I'm sure that doesn't mean it's okay to just leave them alone.

So what do I do? Do I try a different product? Do I call my doctor? Do I talk to my pain doc on Monday or is this something for my MD? At what point, if ever, does it become "more important" than just bothersome?

Sorry to gross you out on the day before you eat a huge meal. Hopefully it's early enough that this thought will leave your mind before you eat tomorrow.
