I'm not sure what breakaway is as no-one has explained it to me but my legs give out a lot and I fall to the ground!! I actually spent over a year wheelchair bound because I couldn't get my legs to hold me upright for more than 2 seconds or so - I am a little better now but still have issues and my legs give out a lot!

I have noticed recently that my ankle on my RSD leg seems to "twitch" and then the next thing I know, I will be on the ground and in extreme agony! I never really know when this is going to happen which is really stressful and it doesn't give me enough time to sit down!! I really need to mention it to my Physical Therapists when I see them next and see what they can do!!

Do you have any PT session??? I have been on 2 Intense Physical Therapy Programs now and am due to go on one again in April and the PT's there would give me "weight exercises" to do!! I had to wear 2lb weights on each of my legs and move them up and down, side to side etc and it would stabilise my joints. It REALLY hurt but it helped and I think if it wasn't for that, I would probably still be in a wheelchair now!! If you are interested in the exercises, please let me know and I shall give them to you as I still have them and do them every other day ... you could probably do these exercises at home as long as you got some ankle and wrist weights!!

I hope you feel better soon and i'm thinking about you!
