I basically went through what you have only longer.
What I would do is write to a State Rep. or Senator. Send them your information and ask for their help. I got mine by writing to a State Rep as I said and I have seen others get the help from the Gov., Senator or State Reps. I had a lawyer that lived on the Golf Course. People that knew him said he was always playing gold. He was suppose to be the best SS attoney in town. He was a joke. I finally sat down and wrote a 2 page letter to him and sent him my file. I know he didn't read it all but I did have a letter in the mail within a week that I was approved. It's worth a try. Ada |

Dreambeliever,
I am inclined to believe your point. My attorney is not fightinting for my RSD/CRPS she has no idea about the disease so she is having me do all kinds of things to prove that I cant work! I think the attorneys need a course on rare diseases!!! tjbird |

Yes I have been doing that, last week I sent my third letter. Last time it took three months for him to get back to me and then he had gotten the wrong information from SS but maybe I will try something else.

I went through a lot with SS too. They sent my paperwork to Missouri at one time and no one could find it. I'm in Co. Then then sent me to a Psychologist and the next day I got a turndown. I called up the SS office and they didn't even know they'd sent me to a Psychologist.
Get you info together on your own. That's what I started doing. I sent the State Rep so many papers I am sure he didn't read them all. You have to find the right State Rep that will help you. I've been lucky so far with them. I have ask them to help get my meds that insurance didn't want to pay for and I even wrote to **** Chaney and his office helped me. They have helped me with other things too. I won't go into but I believe in fighting for what I believe in. Don't give up. Ada |

Congratulations Dew58! I do believe it does depend on what US State one lives in that can determine the length of time it may take to receive SSDI. In my wife's case it's been 2 years and we are in a congested region. For 5 years a business peer of mine who used to live 3000 miles from me in Washington State who's wife has RSD kept getting rejections from SS. They moved to Oklahoma to be near their son and was granted SSDI within a few months.

I think you may be correct; however, my WC atty. told me one almost had to be in a coma to get approved in OK.
I filed SSDI on my own; I filled out the forms as direct as I could, keeping in mind that SSDI is only concerned if I can work or not. I told the truth concerning the WC case and injury;2 right knee surgeries; I had over 2 yrs. of medical records(14-15 docs and PT, and 2 PM's), and my psychologist that I have seen twice a week, for over a year. I have the paper trail to show my journey. I had proof that I attempted to go back to a sedentary job after I had not worked for 10 months in a row. I lasted 2 months, and had to resign as work and CRPS I, in my state of the syndrome, was not healthy for me at all. I wish you all the best. I am pulling for each of you. ![]() Dew
