Kate, I know exactly how you feel. ER treatment can be extremely frustrating. I went several months ago by ambulance because I was in too much pain to drive. They pretty much ignored me. Thought I was only seeking drugs.
I had so much shoulder pain I could not move my arm, and wanted an exam to make sure it wasn't something else. They were baffled when I turned down an offer of pain medication - told them I had plenty at home. BTW, this was one of the largest trauma centers and research hospitals in the area. RSDSA has a main objective of physician education. That is really what is needed so we can get not only treatment, but respect. Glad you are getting your rings fixed. I am sure your husband will understand why they are not "on your hand." Best to you -- Mike Last edited by bassman; 06-02-2009 at 07:14 AM. Reason: Typo |
