Exclamation Migraines a risk factor for CRPS (as is a broken bone)

Migraine may be a risk factor for the development of complex regional pain syndrome.

http://migraine-chronic.blogspot.com...actor-for.html (Abstract)

http://rsds.org/2/library/article_ar...Rosso_Nair.pdf (Full study/artical, 11 pages)

Artical written by:
Cephalalgia. 2009 Jul 9; Peterlin BL, Rosso AL, Nair S, Young WB, Schwartzman RJ Peterlin BL, Rosso AL, Nair S, Young WB & Schwartzman RJ.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It is a vascular thing. This study is well worth the read.
It compares tension headaches with migranes that have auras, aparently auras are quite important (you know the squigly lines you see before a migrane?) read on you will see how these fit in with RSD.
I origionaly found this in a headache forum.
Hi Sandra, Thank you so much for the information on migraines. I get migraines and they are bad. I went to a support group for them and that was really helpful. Learned some of the foods that are no no's that can bring them on. Also went to biofeedback. I also have trigeminal nerve, which is very painful, a piercing pain in the temple, goes down one side of the face. I asked one of the Drs. at the RSDSA annual meeting if there was a connection to RSD and he said NO. I'm going to ask my Dr. at my next visit.
Thanks again, Your friend, loretta
Hi Loretta, Thank you for replying.
I always think it's interesting that doctors can give such a difinitive answer about a condition that they realy know so little about
I think it is time for a little poll
Thanks,
Sandra
Ps.. Loretta do you get so you cant touch that side of your face and eye?
Interesting.
I've gotten migraines since I was in my early 30's. Actually I
never really get the headache, just the auras. They used to
be so bad that I couldn't even drive but these were rare and
usually lasted only twenty minutes or so.
I get them much more often now but they are extremely mild
and even briefer.
Neither link works for me.
