More reprogramming!!
Well its happening at long last after many phone calls:rolleyes:
Ive got a reprogramming session on Thurs 29th Jan.....and about time too! Its been just over 3 months:eek: and I really want to get into them and tweak tweak tweak!!!!!..... Still getting a bit of stinging occasionally around the battery site. And heres a good one, asked my Consultant what did he think he was he said..... ' oh havent heard of that before, perhaps ask the rep at your reprogramming session' hmmmmmmmmm:eek:not much help there then! So thats what I will do and get to the bottom of this ! Hope you are all well and hopefully not in too much pain Jackie :grouphug: |
Hi Jackie
just reading your post now sorry ur havin trouble but just one think to note. there was a guy in hospital at that same time as me with a medtronic unit in and he had to his removed and it was onlly when they removed it that they found out the battery was leaking into his body he has been in hospital since before xmas. his symtom was very bad pain when the site was touched. mine is only in a month and i have to say i have zero pain at the site where the implant is. Hope ur keepin well i got re tweaked today and all going well. my rep from Ireland , usa and consultant were all off work last week with swine flu ( so i guess we spread it around each other fast!) |

Jackiey!!
So you reprogram the day after Rae revises with a new lead! I hope you have success getting the stim to address your preferred site and less on your feet. Seems it can be done..... just a tweak here and there with the computer. If your rep is anything like mine, you will be sat down in front of the reprogramming computer once a link is established with you and you will program yourself; after all, only you know what works for you and where!
Prayers for success, Mark56:hug: |
Looking forward to my reprogramming session on Thursday. Ive found one of my other programmes actually works while I walk provided I put it up HIGHHHHHHHH......so I need that to be lowered to somewhere middle of the road I guess....but so looking forward to getting some tweaking done now.
Im confident that this time they can cover my back much better, well thats what Im telling myself...... Rae:hug: I do hope that your revision goes well for you and that you wont be in too much pain afterwards. We will all be thinking of you and praying that you will make a rapid recovery Thinking of you Jackie  |
Prayin your programming goes well
Hi Jackiey-
Nothing like having a stim misbehave or not address your needs. May your reprogramme give you those alternatives you need and a range of stim effect that ratchets up the bar on the stim! Hope your snow is gone. Ours has melted away for the time being. Prayin, Mark56:hug: |
I have a 'good' feeling about your appointment Jackie!
You've got fantastic Reps and they will work with you til they get it just right! Let's both hang on to FAITH and we'll come out of this week with great news! K! sounds like a plan! Thank you for your well-wishes...... I'm praying for you too :grouphug: This isn't too much for us 'Nana's' to ask now IS it! :p I truly believe we've got better and better days just around the corner! Hugs to you my friend! :hug:Rae:hug: |
Thinking bout you today Nana Rae I hope you will be over the revision very soon and that you wont be in too much pain. You NEED to be back home with your grandson, he will miss you, as we will until you come back and tell us all how you got on ok!!
Mark our snow has gone, thankfully. Have to say at the start it was a novelty but boy did it drag on. The betting offices where they bet on whether we have a white Christmas or not, had to pay out vasts amount of money even BEFORE Christmas day because we had so much:D......great for the punters but not so good for the shops!!! Hope you are well and I pray that something will turn up for you very soon in the employment ranks!! Jackie:hug: |
Good Luck with your revisions, Jackie. My rep once told me, that many people who complain the stimulator does not work well for them are the same ones who don't take the effort to keep getting tweaked; instead they just don't use the stims. I was shocked to hear it, but I guess some just lose faith or are just tired of doing it. After hearing this, it makes me happy to hear anyone (myself included) going to the lengths it takes to get the program formula right..... as many times as it is needed to do so.
Best of luck!!!! Vanna |
Well I'm heading into Hosp in about an hour. But and this is a BIG but!!!!!! When I tried to charge my stim last night my recharger couldn't connect with my IPG:eek: I tried and tried and tried but couldn't get that orange light to turn green. I phoned my rep as she will be there this morning and she asked if my programmer and IPG were working ok which they are. So she said well then it doesn't sound like my internal unit just maybe the recharger. So I am
Praying that's all it is. She asked me to bring in all my bits belonging to the stim so she can check it out properly. So I'm praying that she can fix it as I would hate to have to turn my stim off now after six months:eek: Will let you all know later how I get on. Hope Rae is doing well and not in too much pain this morning. She is so caring and thoughtful to us all and now it's our turn to reciprocate the sentiment. Jackie:hug: |
