Hi Fiona :)

Well unfortunately me trying to sprung Spring was a bad idea :D as its wet, damp and miserable now! ah well....maybe for the best until Im fully recovered;)

I too would generally recharge when my SCS is 2/3 down, again like you my Rep said thats the general rule......I wonder now that you notice the change is it that our bodies become accustomed to the sensations and say in the beginning we had it maybe up high......ish(god there's grammar:D) but as we got used to it we reduced it then the stim wouldnt need charging as much....dunno just a thought!

BTW what make are you SCS's? sorry I cant remember! :)

Hope you are keeping well too

Jackie

As it turned out my Consultant was called away today so I just had my nurse with me. She took out the stitches and Im now meeting with my Consultant on Thursday at 3pm.

I mentioned to her about the battery taking forever to reduce, so not sure exactly how much power is in the battery. So we checked it again and it had moved slightly, which it did last night too, only to be back to full tilt this morning:eek:

She told me to forget about the other battery altogether. Just focus on this new one and take it from there. So tonight Im recharging for the second time in two weeks!!!!! thats a first for me:D

She told me if I think there is ANYTHING wrong to ring/call in immediately as my Consultant wont put up with anything else happening to me.....

Today is the first day that I can honestly say that I am feeling somewhat back to normal after my operation. Its two weeks tomorrow and I am now just beginning to feel good again. Wanting to get out and about too....so glad for that.....

Hope you are all having a good day/evening

Hi Jackie-
Now that the stitches are out and the battery seems to be doing its thing properly, I surely do hope it is a keeper and that you are soon out enjoying your little flower plot!
Yep,

I feel guuuuuudddddddddddd :)

Its been two weeks today since I had my battery replaced:eek:after having it only implanted 6 months earlier!!!!

I definitely feel sooooo much better now. Today I decided it was time to bring out my little doggies one by one for a little walk around our block of houses. They were so excited as was I. They havent been out for over two weeks and they were going bananas:D

So it was great to get out in the fresh air and have them running along beside me......not all together mind;)

Tried to speak with my Rep , I had missed a call from her, but I seem to have missed her before she was due to fly. I had emailed her to see if she had any update regarding my financial situation, plus if they had any word on what happened with my battery......cant wait to hear what that was all about!

I hope you are all having a good Tuesday......I hope Rae is also enjoying some time with her family too.....

Take care everyone:grouphug:

Jackie :)

Glad you are feeling Out and About!

Hi Jackie-

So good to learn you are feeling up to being out and about to walk your pets. I sense improvement here, especially when you write that you feel Goooooood.

May all of the other issues fall into place for you as they should.

Prayin for a good all around outcome,
Mark56:)

Went back to hospital yesterday for another wound review:rolleyes:thankfully all is doing well and going in the right direction at long last!

Mentioned to my Consultant about the battery taking over a week before it needs recharging.....and guess what!!!??? he said 'oh I didnt realise you had to charge the other one every second night'.... said obviously that other one was definitely a faulty one....he has had patients that dont recharge sometimes for two weeks and thats with it on high 24/7......

My Rep also rang and told me that it could take up to three to four months:eek:yep thats right!!! before they will receive the actual report on my faulty battery. But not to worry that as 'a gesture of goodwill' they will look after my finances. She said their 'legal' department said they needed proof first before they pay out. I told her that I COULD Have gone the legal route with this but I didnt because I trusted them that they would look after me!!!!!.....now Im thinking maybe I should have and let them pay FOR EVERYTHING...but you know Im not that type Id rather they just pay for my excesses as agreed and lets forget the whole sorry story then....

So of course I relayed this information back to my Consultant....let me just say he was NOT a happy man at all. He said by saying it was a 'gesture of goodwill' was taking the onus off them and where they actually thinking that perhaps it was either me or him who was at fault. He said he was very irritated to hear this and would be getting onto her boss asap to tell them to pay out or lose out!!! He said he WILL end the contract if this isnt sorted now!......so will have to see how that pans out.

Today I got a call from my daughter to say that our granddaughter had banged her head off the floor:eek: and she had a big bump and bruise. We were beside ourselves with worry when she rang. So we accompanied her to the hospital as instructed by her GP. Thankfully Cara was ok. After 4 hours of observations we got the all clear to come home again. She is perfect Thank GOD....but to observe her for the next 24 hours. I told my daughter this is what parenting is all about and that Im sure its the first of many....but hopefully it wont be.....I said we went through the same trauma's with all our children too.....thankfully I had my SCS with me because I ramped that stim up HIGH and walked around too just to make sure I didnt stiffen up.....am wrecked now though, so having a lie down!

Hope you are all keeping well and looking forward to the weekend too..

Take care

Jackie-

They have their American legal eagles all over this like a rabbit running for the hole. Goodwill my @%!#! They are examining culpability, fearing a precedent, wanting to find a way NOT to follow through on the American goodwill...... You can still take your matter for a discussion as we have posted before!! Why should they be the only folks examining every legal twist while you sit in anxiety whether they will own up; oh, and you should have NO out of pocket...... none. Further, you have damages from having had to go through another surgery, another recuperation, another disfiguring scar, anxiety over what will become of the expenses in the end analysis. Will you do yourself and your family a favor and make a call? [not trying to be bossy here, but, I hate to see a friend of whom advantage may be taken]

Concerned a lot,
Mark56:eek::yikes:
