Im Confused

Well its Saturday 19th Feb 2011......hmmmm and the sun is actually shining....

Ok Ive a bit of a dilemma going on here!!!!!!

Right as you all know Ive had my battery replaced 11 days ago:eek:right ok.....

Now I was given a new battery, new programmer and new recharger!! so all NEW!!

When I was given my charger, my Rep showed me that the battery was 1/3 of the way down, but then in am it was full again:confused:.....ok great.....and then we turned it on........ah lovely!!!

So that was day after my op, Wed 9th.........home I go and I didnt have it on too much as I wasnt too well. Anyway by Sunday 13th the battery was down 1/3 of the way and I recharged......ok all going well!!

So its been on ALL week, day and night, up and down, like Ive always used it......BUT THE BATTERY SAYS ITS STILL FULL!!!!!!!

Its been 6 days since it was recharged and its still telling me that the battery is still full.......now how can that be!!???????

Is it that the original battery was indeed faulty and shouldnt have been recharged every two days!?????? ORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR worse still is this one not right....how do I know if my battery is using up its power if it still shows full.....

Stim is still working ok though as it was when I had the other battery in too though:confused:

Any ideas????

Jackie:confused:

Take a Deep Breath and Let it out Slowly Jackie

While I understand we have different unit manufacturers for our units, mine indicates a full charge at 24/7 use for a week or more after charging, then it begins to descend to the 1/3 down and so on. When I notice the battery is 1/3 down, as I just did, being prompted to look by your post, I place my charger on and take it easy for 3/4 hr to one hour and presto change-o my unit is back at full charge.

I strive to charge my unit when it shows 1/3 third down as once I let it go to 2/3 down and the re-charge time was much longer and my skin did become quite warm during that long charge period.

My suspicion is that your unit is functioning with a GOOD replacement battery and operating within norm; however, as always, a question to your rep will answer your questions..... moreover, if you access the manufacturer website there may be a Q&A area where you may learn first hand the battery performance expectations.

Now, don't fret, and get outside to enjoy your bulbs coming out of the ground! May your weekend be blessed!

Thanks Mark!

And outttttttttttttttttttttttttttt.....yep that breathing sure does work ;)

THanks for that Mark, I suppose the fact that the other one recharged every other day, its just odd this doesnt, anyway I will be seeing my Dr/Rep on Monday and shall ask the question if it is still the same!

Been out in the garden just now....its been a lovely day and we decided to take off the winter covering off our garden furniture:eek:My husband thinks Ive lost the plot but I just want to get back into the swing of things....and when you see the sun its great to be out there.....btw my garden is the size of a postage stamp:D it certainly wouldnt fit one of Rae's ponies in there:D but I LOVE It all the same!!

Hope you have a lovely Saturday, as its evening here now, time to phone for the takeaway soon I think;)YUMMMMM

Jenna Ive NEVER had to wait this long to charge, so Im hoping that this could be the norm and the other battery was more than faulty......as I recharged every second day for bout 3/4hour each time....so will have to wait and see. No movement this morning on it either:confused:

Mine is an Ans from St Jude.....so not sure if anyone else here has one how long do they generally get before they would recharge. I do it once its 1/3 of way down............

Im charging wooop woooooooop

Went back to see my Consultant today for a wound review/stitches out!

As it turned out my Consultant was called away today so I just had my nurse with me. She took out the stitches and Im now meeting with my Consultant on Thursday at 3pm.

I mentioned to her about the battery taking forever to reduce, so not sure exactly how much power is in the battery. So we checked it again and it had moved slightly, which it did last night too, only to be back to full tilt this morning:eek:

She told me to forget about the other battery altogether. Just focus on this new one and take it from there. So tonight Im recharging for the second time in two weeks!!!!! thats a first for me:D

She told me if I think there is ANYTHING wrong to ring/call in immediately as my Consultant wont put up with anything else happening to me.....

Today is the first day that I can honestly say that I am feeling somewhat back to normal after my operation. Its two weeks tomorrow and I am now just beginning to feel good again. Wanting to get out and about too....so glad for that.....

Hope you are all having a good day/evening

Hi Jackiey,

Glad to hear your recovery is going well enough that you're out in the garden trying to force Spring to come early:D:D

The battery recharging time has been hard for me to nail down. At first my lumbar implant went down to 2/3 every other day and I had to charge it (was told to by the rep. as it takes much longer to charge if it gets too low). Now, my lumbar implant seems to only want charged twice a week. I don't think think I'm using a different program than before, but it's possible the strength I'm using it at differs than before.

Hope your new one lives on FOREVER and that you get the much needed and deserved relief you've been waiting/hoping for!!
