Happy Valentines Day
Hope this day finds you all well.
I'm feeling a bit better this morning thankfully. Still feeling a bit fluey and tired nut better than a few days ago. Going to try to go for a short walk later to get some air into my lungs before I get complete cabin fever. Charged up my NEW battery and woohoooooo it blinked green. I was almost holding my breath with worry. But alas all ok. Back again tomorrow for another wound review. My lovely hubby will take me in again. He is soooo patient. Also my daughter who lives with us Nicola was asking if I was staying in:eek: I said a big fat noooooooo:D I know I said at my last op that that was it never again. Well this time I do really mean it ;) Hope you all have a lovely day Jackie :grouphug: |

Wound review Today
Well I was back at the hospital today for another wound review.
All looking good Im told and hoping that the stitches will come out on Friday all 12 of them:eek:!! Im quite bruised around the area but hey Ive not exactly seen is it:D and it wont be on view anytime soon well certainly not at this time of the year in Ireland:D My nurse was asking how I was after my visit last Friday. My Consultant said he was quite worried. I told her I felt somewhat better this mroning, which I did then......and then of course I go and do what I always do!!!!!!!!! OVERDO IT!!!!! My husband said would I like to go and have a look around the shops while we were out as I was complaining that I needed to GET OUT A BIT!!! Wrong decision though:eek: after about a half hour I was just so weak, dizzy , hot and cold!!! had to sit down and take it handy for a while....so we decided enough was enough and back home. Obviously I just did a little too much, afterall, I went from doing NOTHING all week to going shopping:confused:obviously the drugs are affecting my brain too:D So came home and rested for the afternoon. Still a bit yucky this evening and my legs feel like weights but thats what I get from trying to run before I can walk(not literally though:D) My granddaughter Cara visited this evening and she is getting so big now. She has her first two teeth now so great excitement........she brings so much joy into our lives now. Im hoping to mind her when my daughter returns to work as a school teacher in May....well Please God I will be able to do it, will just take it one day at a time....but Im praying that day will come :) I hope you all enjoy your day:grouphug: Jackie  |
Moderation
Hi Jackie- Good review, but, as you know each of us finds the limit of our abilities in recovery...... we overdo, then know what for then is the present limit. You will get it back in time. Bruising declines. Strength restores. We feel like taking on more.
May you also enjoy what remains of your day- should be evening there now. Have a pleasant one. Blessings, Mark56:hug: |
Yes moderation is the key indeedy.....and with that in mind today I decided I would take it easy well for now anyway;)until I get over this 'flu/viral infection' also
Still feeling somewhat under the weather. Finish all my antibiotics this evening so it will be nice to get rid of those. And hopfully get my stitches out Friday, need to confirm that in AM....... Went to optician today as although Ive reading glasses, Im getting blurred vision in my left eye each night and sometimes a headache. He said nope eyes are ok......could it be migraine....not sure tbh....could be all the stress of the past few weeks with the battery/charger debacle...and feeling under the weather too,......who knows..........:( Will have a chat with my Consultant when I see him and if all else fails its back to my GP for his words of wisdom Never usually suffer much from regular headaches so its a mystery...... Its lovely to see the stretch in the evenings now, as Spring is trying to spring;)Ive noticed some of my bulbs peeping their heads up through the earth , love this time of year so really looking forward to getting out in my garden soon. Its the best feeling in the world Jackie :) |
Yea Jackie!
I imagine your flower garden is an early springtime delight, what with the bulbs producing blooms and all. Now, you get to enjoy and work among those blossoming plants as your healing proceeds. So cool!!

Just got a call today that my stitches wont be coming out til Monday now:(
I so wish I was 'back to normal' again. Am getting a bit down in the dumps sitting around here waiting for this healing process to take hold once and for all. Today is the first day that I can honestly say Im feeling a bit more 'myself'. Im so glad to be seeing the mist lift again because I was feeling so low and teary and I havent felt that way for a while. I just didnt want it to last because before this I was feeling so upbeat and getting back to normality, and life was good.........Its been 9 days now since my replacement. I was reading a post earlier from Pip, she has her implant since 2004 and now looks like her battery needs replacing....well I hope that mine last as long if not longer!!!!;) |
Soon, Jackie, Soon
You will have those stitches away and the healing process from battery replacement will be long past. You will feel better again and know that life is the better because your stim is working as it should!
Just think about working among your bulbs, then possibly the perennials as they come one, bloom after blossom, beauty upon beauty and the feel and smell of earth as you work your garden. This will come, all will be well, :):circlelove::grouphug::icecream::Popcorn::icon_s mile::You-Rock::Heart::Excited::sing::grin::Dancing-Chilli::Grin-Nod: Mark56 |

We're gonna do however much detective work it takes! I'm NOT goin down without a fight!! :Viking:.....<<--- i really DO think this hat makes me look fat, but nobody will just come right out and SAY it! :D |
