I had surgery 6/12 on my left battery site. He drained fluid, tacked battery down, and all was well. Well, the battery is still moving. I've tried compression shorts, ace bandages, corsets, and everything I can think of to keep it tacked down. It just won't stop flipping. I am pretty thin, so I don't know if that's something thin people deal with (I was larger when I had the other surgery) or what. Anyway, I do NOT want another surgery as each one is like a dice roll to rsd spread. Luckily, the stim works fine, so I can deal with the bother of the flip I suppose. I have been having weakness/tremors in my legs, bladder issues, and some other non scs related issues. My neuro surgeon has ordered a myelogram. I'm worried about that. I've never had one. Anyway, I try to keep weight off the left side, and hope for the best! Hope all of you are well.

Hi TK,
I am so sorry you are having this "flippin" problem...grateful the stim is working and so far no rsd. What does the doc say...he did the tacking down...I have no advice for you other than one thing I forget alot...nutrition and hydration..i know...simple enough tho in the whole quagmire of life I forget to eat properly. I have read about thinner buttocks vs fuller ones. Like you I have lost some weight in that area...my battery is now sideways and has settled in there for now. more advice on the way I am sure....so good to hear from you ...such hi hopes going into this fight...hang in there...there is a sweet side to this...I so appreciate simple things. Highest hopes...keep us updated...I follow your story. Johanna* |

I would appreciate it. I'm a little worried. I know I need it, though.

OH TK, sorry this is in your future. It is uncomfortable, no doubt about it. Been there, done that. By way of comparison, it was FAR more tolerable than the HeQQ of the Discogram. You can do this. Its discomfort was not for me a long lived phenomenon. It will pass........and for me, it passed far more quickly than the pain, the wicked excruciating pain of the Discogram.
Answers will be provided, and I pray your needs will thus be assessed so the required treatment is in sight. Prayin, Yup, ![]() |
