The reason why I started this thread is because I take so much opiate meds and I wonder what they could be doing to our bodies, bones, liver etc. There are so many of us here that take the same kind of meds and I thought who else would know this kind of thing. When I ask my GP about this he says not to worry about it, he's probably right but.....

Thanks again,

Honestly, I haven't noticed a difference since starting them--but I may not be the best person to ask. I had gastric bypass surgery in 2009 and that is what caused my neuropathy and other health problems. My body doesn't absorb pills very well. I'm on strong narcotics and they don't touch my pain for two reasons--my pain is so high and my body doesn't absorb the whole pill. So I am taking calcium and magnesium and all these things and I can't tell a difference.

The ones that I CAN tell a difference is anything that is measured by blood tests. I know that my B12 shot has raised my levels and my body is finally absorbing Vitamin D because my levels are consistent.

Aside from those, I don't know what is and what isn't working. But like you, I worry about what is being done to my body. I only have one functioning kidney so I am trying to stay on whatever supplements may help me to prevent any further damage of any kind!

Default Natren Healthy Trinity Probiotics is the best supplement ever!

I know we are on all these meds, and our stomachs are shredded from it and we get constipated like mad. I started taking these live probiotics about 2 months ago... AND WHAT A DIFFERENCE! I have taken vitamins off all sorts and have never seen a difference but this is the first time ever that I go bathroom everyday if not 2-3 times... and my stomach feels relaxed. I found them at a vitamin store for way cheaper than the website. Naturway, whole foods, those places are going to be expensive but if you have a discount vitamin store they will have them. I would even pay full price for the relief that I have gotten from them. Here is the website:

http://store.natren.com/Merchant2/me...uct_Code=60090

Also, I have taken other brands because they were less expensive and these by far exceeded the other brands. The other brands didnt really do much at all and I saw no difference, the day I got back on this I was good! Hope this helps! It will at least give your gut the healthy bacteria it needs to live. Also, I take one pill in the morning and one at night. It says to just take 1 a day, but I found with 2 being on all the medicine its perfect!
