Glue

I have been glued before, as though surgeons remembered having their own fingers glued together like mine have been before.... the stuff works on closing wounds and is immediate, tough, and really the only thing it glues well....... skin, as I well know.

Even so, glad your staples are a thing of the past, now to transcending post surgical pain and realization of the benefit of SCS!!!

Hi Mark,

I've noticed a few people mention being glued, sounds good as a few the staples were buried underneath the skin. However big leap forward now they are out, feeling much better and the post op pain has pretty much gone, just a very deep achy feeling in my back now.
Thanks for all your support everyone :grouphug: xx

Great to hear that you are feeling better each day Rachel. So onwards and upwards from now on. ;)

Fyi

For future reference,,,,, you can be a PIA to your surgeon like this old woman and REFUSE staples... I find stitches are WAY MORE BETTER:p then staples. My doc doesnt use glue but many of the docs I work with do....So He grumbles but his sutures are so pretty he could do crossstitch!

A Beauty to Behold

A crosstitch on the back and one farther down at the waist, a choice this week, your favorite basketball logo, or roses, lilies, or a bunch of grapes. Crosstitch, a novel idea for the post surgical wound gauze padding if not the wound itself.

Thank you for the smile Pooh...... how is the party going?

Hi guys, hope you are all well and have had a good weekend? I was discussing with Jackiey about driving and use of the stimulator, just wondered what you guys do about driving and using the SCS?
Thanks
Rachel xx :grouphug:

I was told no driving by the rep. when stim. is on. However, I need it ON in order to be able to drive!! That was part of the purpose of getting them was to be able to drive again. The companies are worried about liability issues.

I would suggest that if you try driving with it on, go on a fairly quiet street, to see whether and to what degree the stimulation changes as you adjust your body as you drive. I think they're concerned a sudden change in stimulation will throw you off when you're driving and cause an accident.

For me, I drive with them on all the time. I usually forget my remote at home anymore so couldn't turn it off if I wanted to.

Just my opinion... as my rep. told me NOT do drive with it on.

Hi Rachel 4444

I believe we are told to not use it while driving as a liabili on ty issue for the mfg... I have my stim on all day, and like fionab,, I need it on to drive. Do take it easy until you feel secure driving. My rep knows I drive with mine on, and shares that all her people do as well. Take care :)
