Default Travel on an airplane

Hi y'all,
i have been moving (no internet etc)and lurking and next week I am running away to Vegas...really!!

so I need input on travel with the SCS on an airplane....I have onl had to go thru one "screening" at a courthouse and that was straight forward,
I intend to have all my gizmo attachments in my gizmo bag hanging around me with my ID very present.
I am fairly sure all will be well...just gotta ask you guys and gals cuz you are the only ones that can relate.

all my best to everyone this season
Johanna*

Heart Leavin On a Jet Plane

Well Johanna-

Leave all of the clothes and stuff home.... purchase new while you are there!!! So much more fun.

Screening???? No perspiration!!! Just put the electronics through the scanner belt array then proceed through the TSA "Gotcha" Gizmo. Tell them beforehand you have an implant. They will go "So who doesn't??" Someone will look at the screen, see you indeed are part Borg, then wave you on. Easy as pie!!

THEN, stay in the Vegas airport terminal and do your gambling..... I had to connect through there a couple of times, and the cheapie machines in the terminal [it is a nice terminal by the way] gave me a wondrous return on investment. I parlayed a couple of nickels into about $20 and then paid for my dinner. The eating establishments there were decent. I boarded thereafter, and left Vegas enjoying the lights as we ascended to flight level.

Merry Christmas,
AND HAVE FUN,
Mark56

I would say go through the body scanner if you have the option, because it's even less of a big deal. But if you can't, the regular metal detectors are fine too. And you are able to have your SCS on during the flight!

Laugh Vegas! Hooot!

I was a bit nervous my first time, but it ended up being no big deal whatsoever. I walked thru the scanner and nothing happened, altho I did tell the screener lady that I had an implant. They must hear this all the time (?) she seemed rather bored and asked if it has ever set off a metal detector and I said no.
So, next time I guess I won't even say anything UNLESS the detector goes off.
The thing I was most worried about was what my bag of SCS 'ammunition' must've looked like to them. The makings of a bomb perhaps?? ........ But WHATEVER you do, DON'T say the 'B' Word!!!!

You'll be plenty fine.
Have a GREAT time in Vegas!! (Don't let the 'drug dogs' intimidate you) They couldn't care less if you are buzzing or not.

Cool Smirk

I go up to the person at the scanner and flash my little card with my details about my SCS. I tell them about my implant and they gdirect me through a side gate and pat me down. I've been on a few trips since my implant and I've never had an issue. I'm not gonna chance the scanner!!!! Don't want any harm coming to this little guy I have in my left butt

But each to their own I say. If you are happy to go through then as the others say its not a problem. But my Dr did say to me to avoid them if I can.

Oooooo, thank you for this, Jackie. No one ever said anything to me about possible harm. Good to know for future reference!
