Well, it looks like I won't be going up for another week. The office staff would not give me a deffinate appt. They said they would call me by the end of the day and let me know if I could be squeezed in on Wednesday or Friday. They want me to have my daughter to bring me up tomorrow and then wait around at my other daughter's house until they feel like working me in. No promises. I told them I was not making the trip on a maybe. I told them I needed an appt even if it wasn't until Friday but they never called back.

I just talked to my daughter in Tennessee and she adjusted her schedule and said she could take me up on Thursday for a Friday appt. I guess we will take it from there. It's getting a bit spooky as I feel more sick each day, not to mention that my buzzer has been turned off for six days now. Ouch.

So sorry to hear about your problems. You've been through so much. I hope and pray there is some sort of resolution that will help you sooner than later.

I now have a Friday appt after pain man called the surgeon and told him his staff was ignoring a legitimate emergency. The surgical nurse told me and pain man's nurse that I should go to my primary doc. Dang, the surgeon had all the testing done a week ago. If I see him on Friday, I bet nothing gets done until Monday.

Heart Praying Spine

Oh dear dear friend,
reading of this, I am brought to knees praying for you and the whole of this situation. If infection there be, surely the calendar will not be allowed to tick past one day to another as you feel greater and greater difficulty. Oh how I pray this be resolved and soon for the sake of your healing,
Praying earnestly,
Mark56

I guess I can hold on until Friday. I feel worse each day but the surgical site looks fine and I am not running a fever. I was told I could turn the device back on yesterday and that has at least lowered the lower body pain. Nothing helps the surgical site or lower lumbar. I'll be staying in Louisville, at my younger daughter's until I am satisfied that everything that can be done, is done. Hugs all around.

Default hmmmmmm

I posted hours ago and I never came up. Anyhow, update time. There appears to be no infection which is great. The problem appears to be that the device has moved and is causing the pain. I am having surgery in two weeks. The device will be removed and implanted in a different location. Since I have had such good results in eliminating the sciatica, he wants to keep it in there. I agree. It's going to be another outpatient procedure but he is going to use general anesthesia this time. He doesn't want to hear me running my mouth again, I am certain. I guess I will stay with Abigail for a few days, post op, during the worst of the post op discomfort. Things are looking up and I can bite the bullet a little longer. Thanks for the prayers and words of encouragement. Hugs all around.
