I saw my surgeon today and he said there was nothing, absolutely nothing, more he could do.
My back is so scarred that it's absolutly impossible to get anything safely near there. The new ganglion operation has not been proved safe and he is not willing to take a chance. So ... t's on with the meds .. which we all know I will get used to and have to increase over time. That's it really. Good Luck to anyone else going in for a SCS .... it's worth it believe me, because it DID work for me ... it's just unfortunate the doctor I saw at one point didn't think it was infected even though I kept telling him it was sore and even took a photo of the infected site. I will always wonder, had he had me admitted and on pic line anti biotics, would the infection have spread to the metalwork or would all have been ok? Corny quote coming up - these things are send to try us. All i all, I was in with the surgeon for about 5 minutes ... he asked if I had any qestions .. what could I say? I shook my head and walked out. ![]() |
