morning all .. turning out to be a nice weekend for the campers and travelers!! I usually wait for the 'off' weekend to go someplace - then there's always a barstool available and it's alot more fun with less peops (especially when the flatlanders go home!)

been quilting away making Christmas table runners - so the Christmas tote has exploded ... and there is fabric all over - when ya gotta match, ya just gotta match!

going to take a road trip and check out the sale at Hancock Fabrics in Madison ... something to do ... there is a huge craft store next door - that I'm tempted to check out too ...

hope everyone has a nice week - it's short!! going to Scrap Therapy on Wednesday, and spend time with friends up north for the day ...

BGB - hope you hear about the offer for your house!! that will be one less thing hanging over your head!!

Kitty - sounds like your garden is doing wonders!! I love grape tomatoes!! - especially home-grown kind!!

Good Morning! Hope you all are having a good weekend. My computer is still in the shop. I sure hope they can get those lousy viruses/spyware off of it soon. The guys working on it are definitley computer nerds - but laid back nerds.

I was going into computer withdrawl so I am in my office at school right now. How pitiful is that! I have had a rather quiet weekend --lots of dreary weather and rain. Although today is sunny but humid.

I read all of your posts since Friday.

Jenn -- Hope you re feeling better soon.

Kelly -- I am sorry to hear about your BIL's brother and your allergies. I have been using s steriod nasal spray and taking zyrtec everday for weeks.

Sandy, That was great that you son and friends helped out.

Debbie, Wisconsin sounds beautiful right now.

Quiet day here, too. Oldest DS is working, youngest DS stayed over in Athens last night - a friend of his goes to UGA and they had a party/cookout. I'm glad he stayed......I don't need to know what goes on at those parties.

It's warm and sunny here. I thought I had some generic Zyrtec but apparently I don't. It makes me drowsy and that's why I stopped taking it before but at this point I don't care. I just need relief from this headache and stuffy head.

I'm supposed to go to the funeral home today for my BIL's brothers visitation. Same funeral home both my parents were in. Ughhhh.......seems we have way too many "family reunions" at funeral homes. It's the only time everybody is in the same place at the same time. At least I'll get to see my nephews and their wives and kids.

Everybody stay safe. for everyone.

Hi everyone...
I think we're going home this afternoon instead of tomorrow...DH has to put a half day of work in tomorrow, and so it would be better to get home tonight.

DD and her DH are going home this afternoon...DD and I had a nice long walk this morning. She was in tears 'cause she's sad that all the wedding festivities are over and she misses home, even though she's happy as a lark in her new marriage...still in transition, I guess...

It's another beautiful day here...hate to leave, but I miss my bed...not sleeping so well here.

Barb, hope you get your 'puter back soon!
Vonn, great jump on the Christmas quilts!
Sandy, glad you have no more rocks to pick up...sounds like you were doing hard labor in prison!
Kitty,

Everyone else that needs one-

Hope everyone has a great holiday!!

Brain,

I really hope it all works out soon and you can sell the old house, move into the new and your DH gets a really good job down there in Florida. I also hope you'll get a pony, lol. You were thinking about a pony at some point weren't you?

Kelly,

Maybe you can get some generic Zyrtec and take a half of one at bedtime, it's better than suffering with those miserable headaches.

Barb,

I hope those computer guys get yours fixed soon and back to you. I'd be climbing the walls without mine, lol.

Everybody in pain or needing a hug....

I slept until 11:20 this morning, but I was up very late. Rocky wanted to play last night so that kept me up even later.

One of his favorite games is for me to throw Q tips down the stairway. It's carpeted and has a landing that turns. He jumps backward and twists and dives going for the Q tip. When he lands, he wriggles around on the floor of the landing and keeps looking up at me to make sure I'm watching. Then he brings it back and drops it at my feet for a repeat. He'll do it about a dozen times then go like a rocket down the stairs when he gets bored.

I did lots of laundry yesterday so I need to put that all away today. I still need to dust. And yes, I'm a very slow house cleaner, lol. I always get distracted and find something more interesting to do.

Tomorrow I'm going to NIU to apply for various job categories.

Everybody have a great Labor Day. We have no big plans for today.

That sounds so cute, Wiz!! It's hard not to play with them when they "ask". My Tigger loves those covered bands used for pony tails. I bought a pack of them - there were probably ten of various colors - and he got one and played with it for hours. Now, he likes me to throw them down the hall and he runs after them. He hits the wood floor and skids all the way into the dining room! He'll hide behind the couch and wait for me to say "you ready?" then he'll take off after it down the hallway. It's so cute....and when he wears himself out he just flops down under the coffee table and stretches his back legs out.

Don't our furbabies bring us so much love and enjoyment?

The one cat loves soda pop caps, rings from the milk carton, and twist ties. The other will go after business cards.

Why do we even bother buying them cat toys? Gave up on that a long time ago, LOL!

hey all!

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday weekend...This morning finds
me tired. I had an hour of crying, trying to get my youngest 6 off to school.

He hadnt done this at all so far this year so I was surprised. Now I want
to cry.

Everyone have a great Tuesday! Hugs all around
